I use these extensively for my snake vivariums and they are perfect! I tend to use self tapping screws in to the roof, and they are light enough to be easily supported. They are very bright at 100%, and the spectrum of colour is entirely configurable.For someone buying these without prior experience read the manual, the setup is straightforward once you understand it, but not necessarily particularly intuitive if you wing it. Very little heat seems to be produced after 12 hours of running. The customisable timed modes are excellent at simulating a true day/night cycle and help my snakes keep their rhythm. My smaller previous version lasted the entire life of the vivarium, and I have no doubt the 4ft version will as well.I dare say these are perfect for amphibians and aquatics as well (probably designed for aquatics actually). I suppose if I was forced to think of a downside that would be that the control panel can’t be turned off, and so is lit by fairly bright white light all the time. Not really an issue though!

The whole light unit packed up on my juwel tank. I’d been looking for a replacement for a while but the cost seemed ridiculous to the point I was considering a new tank altogether, until I came across this. The quality is really good, there are no hot tube lights to burn yourself on and there are so many options. Bit fiddly to program but aside from that, really pleased with it, it’s given a fairly old tank a new lease of life.

Bought this light for my new 45L fish tank (50x30x30cm) as I wanted something with a full light spectrum that could be programmed with different intensities of light at different times of day. Total cost to me was £30.39 (sale price).This product ticks all the major boxes for me. I can programme my own schedule with 8 different light intensities (including off during the night), and the light at 100% is plenty bright, so much so that I don't actually use it at 100%.I didn't realise that the light is only elevated by about 1cm off the frame of the tank, but it is shown in the product images. I just didn't pay attention.The controller feels quite cheap. Definitely usable, but the buttons feel mushy and can sometimes take a bit of force to depress. LCD screen has poor viewing angles, and pushing the buttons also puts some pressure on the screen which causes distorts and ripples which add to the cheap feel, but ultimately doesn't impact on the usability.The light feels solidly built. Aluminium alloy body, brackets feel stable. No complaints there. Some people have complained of condensation in the light, but I can't comment on that since I have a transparent polycarbonate lid on my tank which the light sits on top of.Overall happy with my purchase.

I love how easy this is to program and use, in another review someone mentioned that it runs too long and can create algae, but you can choose the exact hours it runs for. I love the evening mode, the fish will happily feed in that mode too. It's slowly takes them into day and night.

I purchased my hygger, for plant growth, in the aquarium, the light was good, for plants requiring, low to medium, lighting requirements, however l now have two hyggers, on my aquarium, one of them on 100%, for 6 hrs, the plants are growing like crazy.

Worked for about 6 weeks then suffered water ingress issues. Slowly started to lose led lights and after about 6 months stopped working altogether. No way to contact seller and Amazon no help either. I would avoid and buy from a reputable aquarium store instead.Don't be fooled by 100% rating over past 12 months as that is not accurate if you look at just a few reviews.

Very good light for the price, does everything you'd ever need in an aquarium light,"mains plug warm to the touch"!

not too long ago, i bought a smaller version of this for my small tank and was absolutely over the moon with it. Inevitably, between then and now i have acquired a 200L tank (oops) and i had decided that i would give the whole 'real plants' thing a go.I fell down a complete rabbit hole about aquatic plant needs etc and found myself looking for a full spectrum light. I WAS DELIGHTED to find that they did these lights with full spectrum lighting which is what you need for plants. I did not hesitate to order from this company once more.I left a hefty review on the little one i purchased stating how incredible the settings on it are.But I'll shorten my review on here. Just Get this light. Its great, it has adjustable length, its bright but you can adjust the brightness, you can adjust the colour, you can have the lighting on a timer. this light will do everything for you. you don't need to touch it, it will switch itself on, and switch itself off. I am so happy with this light id recommend it to anyone.
