I recently tried Bees Knees Raw Honeycomb and wanted to share my experience. Bought this as a Christmas present for my brother & wife. They loved it and like to try different recipes, including grilling. The different flavors are really cool. I probably wouldn’t spend the money to buy for myself, but I think it’s a great gift. Like supporting small businesses.

My fiance's brother recommended this to us as he found out we were obsessed with hot honey. This is definitely spicy so if you want more sweet this would not be for you. However, we love spice so we love this! Reason for 4 stars: the bottle seems very difficult to get the product out. We have to squeeze it very hard to get the smallest amount out.

This hot honey is a perfect addition to pizza or anywhere else you want to add a bit of sweetness with heat. It's not too spicy, but it adds some oomph. We really like it! I thought it would be pretty spicy based on other reviews. Perhaps for reference you should know that my husband and I enjoy sriracha and don't find it to be overpoweringly hot. If you have a really sensitive tongue, this may not be the product for you, but it seems quite mild to us and has been really fun to use. The honey itself has a great flavor as well. You can tell it's high quality. The bottle is also attractively packaged, with a cute logo and nice printing. It would make a really fun addition to a gift basket or as a gift/hostess gift and looks nice sitting out on the table.Others have commented about the size of the bottle, saying it's not very big for what you get. I disagree. Honey has a tendency to crystallize. This honey hasn't, but I find that I prefer smaller jars of honey to larger ones for that very reason. This honey shows no sign of crystalization but if it DOES crystallize, it would be easy to heat and bring back to life. Larger containers are much harder to do that with. I also think you're getting a good quality product in a very giftable container. It was worth it for us to purchase, and I'm glad I did.

I received the honey and the bottle had sticky residue on it near the neck of the of the bottle. Whatever dirt or dust came into contact with it was stuck to it. It was disgusting. When I went to remove the "sealed for freshness" covering under the dispenser top, the honey/oil had soaked through it and it was practically glued down. It was really difficult to remove. I'm pretty sure the package had been thrashed around because they put it in a flimsy plastic package, along with a cardboard box of cookies I also ordered, which is was crushed. Amazon tried to deliver my package to me at 4:46am. Like, are you crazy? I'm a woman, who lives alone. There's no way in hell that I would open my door at that hour for anyone at that ungodly hour, unless it's some kind of emergency.So they ended up delivering this, which was supposed to be an overnight delivery, 3 days later. I'm sure that package went through hell. Also, the honey was mostly crystalized when i received it, so I'll have to warm it up to melt it down because it's barely coming out of the bottle. I'll never buy this off of Amazon ever again and I'll certainly never spend this type of money on a product like this again. It's good, but it's not that serious. From what I was able to taste, the honey is ok. Much spicier than I was expecting, but it's fine.
