Adonis - Zaatar, Traditional Lebanese Seasoning Bleand, 1 Pound (454g)

A good product at a good price, but too big an amount for one person use.

My son and I went went to lunch at a local Lebanese restaurant, just for a change of pace, and we ordered the Zaatar Manakish as an appetizer. I forgot how amazing this spice mix was. So, I ordered up this brand because it was from Lebanon, and was a great value, and had a great rating. A pound is a lot, but I have used it a lot...Zaatar covered chicken thighs in the oven, 400 degrees for about ah hour - awesome. I also bought frozen yeast dough balls, let them rise, poke them down, and spread Zaatar and olive oil paste on them to make my own version of Manakish...I will look for a better dough, but the Zaatar is awesome. Thyme, Sumac, Sesame Seeds...maybe my favorite spice combination.

Not my favorite brand but still pretty good and tasty. You get a lot of it. Perfect for seasoning and making manoush.

Tastes like home

I used this product to make manakeesh. I really liked it. I'm American and learned about this spice from a Arabic co worker. Much younger than me. Brought in manakeesh. It was awesome. His mother. Lol. Makes her own blend. But it was good. This is my third commercial brand I bought. For me it's not earthy enough. The sumac for me needs to be lighter. Just too tangy for me. But still good. Now I used this on roasted chicken. Damn good. Three stars because I just didn't like the sour tangy taste for the manakeesh. But that's my taste. Just try it you might like it.

I was excited to try the Adonis Zaatar, but it turned out to be a letdown. The package arrived later than expected, and to my surprise, Amazon doesn't accept returns for this item.After trying it, both my mother and I experienced dental issues—we each had a chipped tooth. It felt like there were hard particles mixed in, which made me question the quality of the ingredients. I'm concerned that there might be something included that's harmful to teeth.I recommend being cautious if you're considering this product.

My husband and I love this Zatar! We first tried the Trader Joe's version, and we used it up really quickly. We no longer live near a Trader Joe's, so I looked on Amazon and found this! It is miles better than the TJ version, and we are thrilled to have so much! It goes on chicken, fish, steak, vegetables, eggs, beans, roasted nuts, dips and anything else I can think of!
