Adonis - Zaatar Aleppo Blend (1.5 Lb) 680g

I started buying this several years ago at a specialty grocery store. Sadly, it has closed. So I was so happy to get my favorite brand named spice via AMAZON. There are a number of "flavors". So I like to try different blends. I use it on toast, bagels and pita breads in the morning with butter, cream cheese or olive oil. I even like it on peanut butter. Be creative. I am Irish and this was all new to me once too!

I was excited to purchase this as I thought it would be like homestyle zaatar. It tasted like cardboard - bland, no taste. I checked the expiry date to make sure I wasn't tasting a very old product and it was not expired. I sprinkled salt on top to see if it made a difference..and yes, salt on anything helps, but again it was a waste of money. Unfortunately cannot return it, but if you are looking for zaatar from aleppo - stay away from this product.

Not so delicious as I expected

Love that particular flavor as it is the one that I always had when I was a little girl. A bit pricey though even if it is cheaper that most other brands. I wish we could go back to more normal prices, Amazon !
