English primrose seeds require cool temperatures and moisture to germinate
50 English primrose seeds - more than 50 germinated after 3 weeks, no instructions enclosed, but I found some on the internet. Put them in potting soil with a layer of peat moss on top, thoroughly soaked the soil and peat moss, put seeds on top - did not cover them- just sprayed them with water -then put them in a cool area (about 40 degrees - dark garage) for 3 weeks with plastic on top of pot to keep soil moist- sprayed peat moss with water to keep it moist, after they germinated in cool dark garage, brought them into a 68 degree area with light, removed plastic , kept soil moist by spraying with water- are growing well now,

This is how they looked like just in 4 DAYS--->
Seeds are very tiny, so there is absolutely no way to count how many seeds you receive or plant. I placed my seeds on top of potting mix mixed with Coco Coir & Peat Moss Alternative, sprayed it well, covered with plastic lid and left in room of 65-68 F degrees under growing lite, and they sprout well- in only 4 days I see this. I am giving 4 stars because I do not know if those will end up being the right plants, since germination speed surprised me a lot. Typical would be couple weeks in very cool place, but this was quite a different story, lots of light, warmer temperature, that makes me a little suspicious. I will update after I see more of the plant as they grow. So far my 4 stars are for germination rate.*** UPDATE***...these are the wrong seeds, it is not what they are suppose to be. What a waste of time, effort and buying all the pots and dirt. VERY disappointed.

Beautiful!!
Primroses are some of the prettiest flowers God made. They are expensive to buy the plants and the seeds are so easy to grow! I am thrilled with these - 50 for $2.00!! I will be ordering again!

Good results with proper cold treatment
I was hasty in not running down the info needed to get these seeds to germinate. First attempt was to plant them at depth typical for flower seed of this size. None germinated. Second attempt was placing a seedling flat, seed planted in the same way as the first attempt, in a freezer for two weeks. Still no germination. Third attempt was, after more closely reading instructions online, placing the seed on the soil mix surface, tamping seed lightly, watering and again providing the two weeks in the freezer. Success. Emergence took place over two weeks after removal to room temperature. The seedlings are still alive, surviving the winter in a cold frame, and are quite robust.

Wait and disappointed
Planted these seeds in a pot in hopes of transferring them into a perennial garden for public use at a M.S disabled housing complex it's been a few weeks and only 3 of the seeds germinated. It's a big disappointment after using my own money to purchase the seeds and soil etc.. to grow these flowers for the people living in the apartments.

Seedlings are clover!!!!!!!
Only a few have sprouted. I had to replant. I don't think these are quality seeds and there is a great deal of other non seed material in the very tiny seed package. I would advice to buy seeds at the local hardware store when in season or from Burpee or Parks seeds. At least they are guaranteed for a year and do not have debris included. Looking at the few seedling that did emerge, it appears that they are clover! I Would not recommend buying them from this seller.

I was very disappointed!
I planted the seeds very carefully in a small container with seed starter. I kept them so they weren't too hot. Only about a half dozen of the seeds sprouted. I was very disappointed!
