This vacuum is just what we needed to help clean out our wood burner.Its a compact 5kW burner, so it doesn't produce vast quantities of ash, but this still makes cleaning it out a much quicker and cleaner affair.It comes with a good length cable and hose and is incredibly simple to use.Yes, it's quite noisy but that's the only real downside.It's got plenty of suction power, and is nice and light to move around. The integrated carry handle being a very useful addition.I've been emptying it after every 4 times I clean out our burner.I also give the filter a shake.There's still plenty of room in the vacuum, but I don't want to clog up the filter by filling it too much.I'm very pleased, and I think the value for money is decent too.I hope you find my review helpful.

This hoover was bought for our little log burner.The hose is lined with metal, so doesn't melt when pulling up hot coals. The can has no bag so the hot ash can't ignite anything.The filter in the ash can works very well and needs the ash removed when emptying. I'm very pleased with it.But.... The hose is not overly long, so you need to place the unit close to the open log burner.On first use, the vent expelling the air from the hoover didn't blow the ash about, on second use, the vent blew the ash from the open grate. I had inadvertently placed the motor lid on with the vent facing the wrong way which caused this. Note to self, check which way the vent is directed to get best results.Do not take the motor lid off of the ash hoover in the home. The mess goes everywhere. You will need a dust sheet under the unit, or to take it out side. To get the best results from the unit you need to empty after every use or the suction is reduced markedly.

If you have fires and looking for an ash hoover - this is it, light, powerful and does the job

I wasn’t expecting to clean out my log burner today, but this arrived a day early and I was eager to try it. Its compact and lightweight, but not flimsy. The suction power is awesome and it makes a dirty, pain-in-the-backside job very satisfying.I’m not the most diligent of home fire users (wood with nails in etc... but I do get it swept yearly!) and this unit did get clogged easily with debris when I didn’t use the filter basket, but I just detached the tube and emptied the debris into the bin.Really glad I purchased this. I wish I knew they existed years ago and saved myself the trouble!

Hover is great but the hose is not good had a week and split

Product arrived eventually.Half the price of the last one I bought so does the job.Not a metal lid or metal lined hose and has plastic internally and a fabric filter so ash HAS to be cold when using.This is not an industrial ash vac.Probably good for mdf sawdust etc.

Great price. Great suction. Does the job.
