Posh Art of the Dot: Create Stunning Kolam Patterns that Flow Through and Around Dots

Great paper, great designs. I see some of the classics from my childhood.

I've been looking for an intro book on drawing Kolams and came across this book but was a little hesitant at first to see it's from a non-Tamil author. However, it's clear from the beginning that the author has done a lot of research into traditional Tamil Kolam styles and she does an excellent job on taking your through step by step instructions on how to make a variety of "pulli" and "kambi" kolam designs from beginner to advanced material. I would highly recommend this book to anyone looking to start their journey on creating traditional Tamil (South Indian) Kolam patterns!

I just discovered kolam this past week and was excited to learn more. I'm so glad I found this book because I wanted clear step by step instructions. This book is more than I had hoped for! It's of very high quality. It's a joy to work with. I highly recommend it.

Awesome instruction - I love the step by step approach. Great for a non-artist like me. These are perfect designs for my dot journal. Hope to see more books like this in the future.
