This is very easy to use, flipping through the pages to see the beautiful cycle of the Monarch butterfly. Fun, inexpensive, and educational.

Small but full of wonder
My kiddo loves the idea of the beautifully transformative butterfly life cycle, and this flip book is a great way for him to play it out over and over - and for him to understand a bit about how movies and animations are made, as a series of images. What a cute and perfect book for young science fans.

Awesome teaching tool!!
This shows the metamorphosis stage of the Monarch butterfly !! Works great for teaching this and is very accurate!! Uses actual Monarch pics not depictions….

It's a 5 buck book
It was exactly as described. I wish it had more pages so there was more detail to the movement but it was 5 buck. Used it to show my daughter a rough idea of how cartoons work.

The visual medium can be a powerful teaching tool. “Metamorphosis” by San Francisco-based Fliptomania combines the visual with the scientific arts to expose the viewer to the lifecycle of a Monarch caterpillar to butterfly. Flipbooks, due to their small size, accessibility, and compact storytelling style of only about 40 pages, are an excellent medium for introducing new concepts to young audiences. The four-year-old I shared this flip with couldn’t believe the transformation and flipped the palm-sized thumb cinema again and again.Even more mature viewers will appreciate unpacking this familiar but still fascinating natural process one page at a time. Excellent color photography that flows seamlessly makes this flip a 5-star purchase.

Watching a caterpillar turn into a butterfly is fascinating for kids...and adults. I had something like this as a child, and now my granddaughter can have the same fun experience. Really cute flip book
