Gives context to explain what happened and why it happened. Wish I had this book had been assigned when I was in school instead of the state approved text book.

Excellent of historical information
Interesting facts about our history ... recommend it. With the exception of students at Hillsboro College, this may be all new information for students enrolled at most of our elite universities, e.g. Harvard, Yale, etc.

A lot of history and good points, but needs an editor to smooth it out.
This is a good book. I am taking away one star because it isn't as smooth as the author's usualwriting. I think this got hurried in production or something and needed one more pass bya professional editor. When compared to the author's normal writing in his weekly blogposts, (which are superb) I had to scratch my head. Still, it is material that needs to be availableto the public and children and has great value in this respect. Buy it.
