If your looking for a really authentic African drum this us definitely the right product for you. The quality is fantastic and it has a lovely deep bass sound to it and looks great. Also comes with a nice cover for the top of the drum.I have a couple of smaller djembe' s but I was ready for something bigger and better. I spent a long time looking at different ones on Amazon but my instincts kept telling me that the majority of them weren't genuine and the price ranges varied a lot. Luckily a friend of mine bought the same drum recently and after trying it I felt that this was exactly what I was looking and I was pleasantly surprised that it was much cheaper than most of the others on Amazon which the majority are probably just ornaments anyway.Also the fact that it's a fair trade instrument supporting the Ghanian craftsmen and women makes it an even more worthwhile purchase, I think these drums are worth much more than they are selling them for.

This djembe drum is well made, looks great, and plays nicely. As a beginner I like tone and slap sounds from this size drum, bass is good as well but it’s challenging for my big hands to hit the sweet spot to get a deep, pure bass sound. So much fun to play it! Thank you!

This is a gorgeous drum, which is very good value. The carving is beautiful and the sound it produces is very deep and resonating. We have now bought two as gifts and they have been extremely well received. The added free drum hat is a great bonus as it is good protection for the skin. The drum arrived quickly and very well packaged. I thoroughly recommend this if you are looking for an African hand drum.

I really like these Djembe drums. I've recently started holding drum circles and these are just right for my beginners classes. Good sound, easy to transport as they are a nice size (I had mine on the back of my bike secured with bungee ropes).

Fantastic, authentic product. So impressed with it. The drum sounds how it should. It comes with a full african print case and drum cushion/top. I bought the 9inch for my 4 year old son and it is a perfect size, and an adult can even comfortably play it too. Don't miss!
