Exactly as advertised, and also makes a great little housewarming / shower gift
Works well for healthy peanut butters where the oil tends to separate to the top while on the store shelf.A tad messy, yes, but I generally only have to use it on the first opening of the jar. After use, my dog is happy to help clean off the parts before I put them all in the very top "small items" rack of the dishwasher. This also makes a great little housewarming or wedding shower gift for others, and also for students who will be eating a lot of peanut butter in dorm rooms during late night study sessions, or for cooks who "have everything".

Works
Product worked well, almost cleans itself. A little bit challenging to know how to use it when a bar code is put on the instructions. I would buy again.

Practically useless
This tool is almost useless in dealing with extremely separated nut butters. Even when you manage to get the right-size lid (it took me two tries), the stirrer wobbles around and is stymied by the really thick portion of the nut butter. Meanwhile, the oil oozes everywhere, and you have a greasy, goopy mess.

Has worked very well.
Worked very well for me. Did good job of mixing the jar and haven't had to do any more stirring.

Does NOT fit 16 oz jars, but concept is great. You want model 300, not 100.
Like so many of you looking at this product, I LOVE natural peanut butter. And this mixer DOES make stirring it INFINITELY easier than doing it by hand, especially if you have arthritic hands. Problem is, the lid (at 77mm) is about 1/4" too large for the mouths of every 16 oz jar that I've tried this with, so I'm not sure how they came up with saying that this fits that size jar, because it doesn't. The one you ACTUALLY want is Model 300, with the 70mm lid. Now, outside of that, this does make fast and easy work of stirring natural nut butter. Holding the stirrer firmly on the jar, the first few turns of the handle are challenging, but the gasket and lid keep the oil inside the jar, and once you've made those first few turns, it's easy peasy.Because I loved the way that this worked, I thought, "well, I'll just go to the website and order replacement lids, lid liners, and gaskets, and make this one handle work". Well, $35 (and an additional full stirrer for $10) later, I was looking at $20 of merchandise... and $15 for shipping. Uhhh, no. I was going to just leave it all there and walk away (never even knowing that I wouldn't be able to return my amazon order until I read the reviews here), but, being the person that I am (who tends to voice my opinion in writing), I wrote them to complain that the shipping prices are ridiculously high for what I estimated wouldn't even cost $10 for USPS Priority shipping. Customer service was considerate enough to write back to say that PayPal automatically charges going by items ordered (I had 7 in my cart - 2 lids, 2 corresponding gaskets, 2 corresponding lid inserts, and 1 full set), not weight, and that they'd adjust my shipping to reflect more accurate pricing, so I placed my order, and got everything in about 2 business days. The lids, gaskets, and inserts fit the stirrer from this set perfectly, so now I've got exactly what I needed to begin with. So, long story short - and about $45 later - I've got stirrers to cover every size jar I'm likely to find in a regular grocery store, and no more sore or oily hands... It just depends on how determined you are to get the right size stirrer for your needs, because this one is most likely not it.Because of that, I can't recommend this for gift giving, and I'm baffled by the packaging claim that these are "fun", but they ARE most likely just what you need, IF you're willing to do a bit of work and/or hunting.

It works!!
Does exactly what it claims to. For jars of natural peanut butter that separate into oil and peanut butter too thick to get out of the jar, it mixes them very well.

Definitely does the job.
It took some force to get the lid on and screwed in, mainly because of the plastic bit that is snapped in place. However, once on it all worked smoothly and easily and did the job well.
