WORKS
The media could not be loaded. I read the reviews and I was concerned this would either be too hard or that I'd sling molten sugar all over the kitchen, but neither were true. It was surprisingly easy.I made my sucker recipe (1 cup sugar, 1/3 cup corn syrup, 1/2 cup water. Boil until 300°. Mix 5ml flavoring & food coloring. Stir and pour.) I pulled it off the heat after it hit 300° exactly.I poured the side with no sticks first and I turned my gas stove to the lowest possible flame, just to keep the rest of the syrup warm enough to stay liquid... you do need to hurry but you don't need to worry too much.I just used a piece of paper to fan the side that was poured for a few seconds and then I poured the other side with the sticks. I flipped them over quickly and pressed down really well. I did put a heavy block on it for several minutes and then let them cool for about a half hour. (No need to wait all night. Once it's cooled, they aren't going anywhere). It worked REALLY well. No problem!A couple tips, another review said to push the sticks all the way to the top because when you press the halves together, it'll push the stick out. I didn't understand what that meant, but see photos, the extra syrup will push the sticks down so just make sure they are pushed all the way up in the mold because it does push them down.Try to not overfill. If you overfill it, the edges won't close all the way... but don't worry, they still work. You just have to pick off the edges. Both times I made suckers, the cavities on both sides didn't completely close, leaving about 3mm of a gap but when I opened the mold after they cooled, they still worked so leave them alone. It'll be OK!Someone also suggested to hit them with a torch & it'll make them go more transparent. That worked perfectly, also. Just don't do it if they are cold or they will crack.Over all, i was worried when the package arrived with no instructions. But I just Googled it and it was so much easier than I thought! They are smaller than I expected but after eating one, I guess I like the size better than I would if they were the bigger size.

Takes some practice, but works
These are exactly as advertised. It took me a while to get really good at it. My issue was large bubbles. I found that if I make two half batches it works better. Split ingredients for 1 batch in 2 pots. When 1 pot is done, start the heat on the other pot. Fill the molds that don't have a stick. This side will mostly harden by the time the 2nd pot is ready. Fill the side with the sticks, then quickly bring the cooler mold on top of the newly poured mold. Press well. Let cool. There is a video on YouTube that shows how they use these molds to mass produce suckers. They have great tricks for preventing the sticks from coming out.

Works well
I used this to make red hot bubblegum lollipops for a friend. Worked extremely well.

Fun to make.
These are easy to use and make a nice sucker. Wish they were a little larger diameter.

I Had Higher Hopes
We make lollipops all the time with a flat mold and I have perfected. This one is a lot tricker. I wish there was a video or something to help give tips on how to successfully use this. I don't fill them enough then I get a gap all the way around the lollipop. I fill them too much then they all kinda stick together and have sharp edges I have to knock off with a knife, then I used a blow torch to melt the sharp spots but it really melts them down so they look mis-shapen. I'll keep working at it, but I don't love the mold or lack of instructions. Maybe I will change my mind after I get the hang of it.

Larger lollipops
The mold works great.. I was able to make my lollipops with edible topping in them. However I will like a mold that makes much biger lollipops. This mold makes 0.9 in lollipops, I want a mold that makes at least 1 and a half or two times the size of this.

Nice size... perfect
Very nice and did well on first use. Trick is make sure side of no sticks poured first. Make sure sticks are pushed all the way up otherwise joining causes them to puff out. Let set for a few minutes then join. Put something heavy on it and let sit for hours. I left over night. Perfect pops.

would buy again
These molds are solid and good quality. They don’t smell unlike other molds i’ve ordered before. They’re a little pricey but for the quality the price is right. Also, i recommend buying in sets of two because most hard candy recipes are over a pound of candy and this is perfect for that you should get about 20 lollipops from one batch
