We’ve become a huge fan of the Display Buddy Hanger System… So much so – we’ve posted two photos of an in-progress art project. (Heart in a Box Concept… Heart in a Box Concept in progress.) We’ve taken the time to post our review as there are some negative comments for this little hanger system and we truly believe the Display Buddy system is ‘different’… perhaps not for everyone but: “There is nothing else out there like Display Buddy for hanging dimensional objects on the wall- and it’s nearly invisible.” For artworks in progress- we can hang it securely on the wall while “more red” comes in- (or to get it away from the kittens); then take it down, open it back up- and finish the project. [The box you see is a thick metal ‘reclaimed display box’ squished out of shape for visual interest: The actual heart in the second photo is a very heavy rock: The backing very thick clear acrylic; final trims for the hanging lights lost around the outside are still incoming… None of these factors are a problem for Display Buddy: All of these ingredients are safe on the wall in the Display Buddy.] Seriously- Now discovered, we use Display Buddies for nearly all of our Dimensional Wall Art. They come in four sizes… are very flexible- nearly invisible- and value for the money is obvious: hanging “whatever is entrusted”- balanced, strong- sturdy. Once you’re used to the system (though simple, it is different)- you’ll be a fan.

It does its job quite well with a heavy-ish dimensional object. The plate which I hung felt secure, and the wires on which the object is cradled has a thin coating to prevent scratches. My only negative comment is that it had not come with instructions, nor a link to a video of instructions. The assembly videos on the Amazon site say it all plainly enough, but if I hadn't seen them, i would have been anxiously wondering if i was setting it up right. Neither is it clear anywhere that it does not come with frame-hanging hardware, like a large hook (for a heavy object) such as you would hang a regular frame. Fortunately, I had some. It does seem a lot of money to spend considering the materials, but as I said, all felt secure, and that's worth paying for, if you read about other brand hangers which fall or hardware that fails.

I made a ceramic bowl that was about 14" across and 5" deep, and the large was a perfect fit for hanging it on the wall. It was easy to assemble, and the arms are sturdy but flexible enough to bend to the shape of the back of the bowl. Highly recommend!

This was very easy to use. I hung an 8-pound platter on my wall a couple of weeks ago and have had no problems. I almost didn't try it due to some bad reviews, but I'm glad I did. It works perfectly!

I make flower's out of plates and needed something to display on an indoor wall rather than outside in the garden. I had ordered the small Display Buddy for a smaller plate flower I made, and it worked beautifully. Recently, I made 3 larger flowers, which are a bit heavier and bigger in diameter. After measuring and confirming the weight of each flower, I ordered 2 medium Display Buddy's and one large. I finally had time to get these flowers up on the wall, which I started with one of the medium size flowers first. OMG- what a joke! I tried over and over again to get the Display Buddy on the plate, to fit correctly, tighten, and then would try putting it on the wall- I even watched the video several times to make sure I was attaching it correctly. The darn metal piece is so flimsy, it just bends and looks as if it's going to fall off the wall from the top- it looks terrible (this did not happen with the small Display Buddy. It's to the point it's pretty much ruined and non-usable. So disappointing because the first Display Buddy I purchased is much sturdier than the new ones I just purchased, and I am 2 weeks past my return window.All 3 flowers are at the correct diameter and weight for the size Display Buddy ordered (the 2 medium flowers-11" & 13", 7.2lbs & 7.6lbs, the large Flower 14" 8.8lbs). Very disappointed in the quality of the product- there is no way the thin flimsy aluminum type material can support the 10 pounds it says it can.And yes, the large size Display Buddy is the same, not quite as bad, but definitely won't support 8.8lbs.
