Daughter loves these books
My 12 year old 7th grader to be is in love with this series. She reads a book in one day. Definitely recommend it to any parent that has a girly girl in their household. Another plus is that the book features middle school students as main character which I think makes it easy for readers of that age to relate to.

Coco Simon
One does wonder, however, about "Coco Simon" as the author. My daughter also read the entire "Rainbow Magic" series with all the fairies by Daisy Meadows. I explained to my daughter that the books were being "ghost written" and that the real author's name was always in the dedication. With Simon and Schuster being the publisher, "Coco Simon" would seem an obvious ploy. There's not much history about her online. Very mysterious.

Perfect series for young girls
My 10-year old daughter loves this series. I've read some of the early ones with her and I feel they are very appropriate for her. Just the right amount of girl drama and plot lines that are interesting and different enough that have her pre-ordering the next one on her own. If fact, she wishes they were released quicker she loves them so much.
