Q: Can this filter actually be used for whole house filtration or only under sink??

I use this in my Motor home (whole small house) along with a 1 micron sediment pre-filter in a twin housing and it really varies how long it will last based on the water quality going into the unit. I've been in a few southwest US locations it only lasts a few hundred gallons in 30 days and most times it makes it 90 days before I change it. IF I had a family of 4 using more water regularly, and the water going into the filter is fairly contaminated I would find a larger housing and a filter designed for the specific work load. Yes, filtering a smaller volume of better quality water this CB filter will work for a whole house application changing filters regularly.

It states that it meets nsf standards. I believe that would include the nsf 42 which would be for taste and odor.

These are the large 10” long filters designed as whole house filter good for at least 60 days. Not a second phase unit
