My axolotl came to me as a rescue with very short gill fronds, due to an infection he had when he was young. His pink frillies looked fine, but his little fronds were nubs. After already having him two years, I decided to start feeding him this, and all of the sudden his gill fronds started quickly growing!! It's only been 2 weeks, and his fronds have more than doubled in length. I'm so so happy, and I wish so much I had started supplementing with this sooner! Even with eating a hearty diet of earthworms, he was very obviously missing some key nutrients that he needed to regenerate his fronds. Very happy! Also, I should mention he loves it! I put it in a bowl at the bottom of the tank, and when he's ready for it, he lays over his bowl like a puppy. We're two happy campers!

Makes feeding easy because I can put in an automatic feeder or drop some directly on front of axolotl, but makes water dirty way too fast!

my axolotl didn't like these at all, but no fault of the product. just a picky axie. arrived sealed and the pellets were soft.

I bought these to test them out instead of general carnivore pellets. I have a 9 month old axie and a year old one. Both of them hated the pellets! I was so excited to test them out and these little stinkers preferred the carnivore pellets. Of course they enjoy their nightcrawlers and blood worms, but they didn't touch these.They also crumble way easier than any other pellets, which meant pieces were left behind to fog the water up. Also, the bag was more crumbs than pellets, so I'm glad I got the smallest size possible. It was 50% crumbs!
