Worked well with a 6 volt vintage car light1
I purchased it to test 6 volt accessories from vintage automobiles. This unit had no issues with a combination tail light/reverse light. This is much cheaper than purchasing a 6 volt battery to do the testing. I will be hoping to test this on a 6 volt ahooga horn in the future and will update the review to advise whether it can handle the amperage.

Drok 18w 12v to 6v 3A max
I needed to convert my new 12v lithium battery to 6 volts. I noticed 12 volts is too much power for a live bait pump. I've been using a LEAD ACID 6volt battery which is HEAVY and use it on a kayak to keep the livewell running, so to keeping weight down and longevity, I opted to run a 12v lithium pack which weight is 1.5 lbs. vs lead acid 5 lbs. So I purchased this Drok 12v step down to 6v and tested that It holds steady at 5.98 volts which is perfect for my application. I was also concerned of a review stating it heats up or gets hot? After 6 hrs I was amazed it DOES NOT heat up. Just what I'm looking for! I added 2 pics of how I set it up in a waterproof case. Great product and price! Would recommend if you are looking for a sealed 12v to 6v converter and good price.👍👍

Very nice unit, compact with connection info printed right on it.
Used this to drop the voltage for a VW Bus gas gauge. Produces a very steady 6v and the gas gauge works like it should. Easy to hide under dash. Will be getting at least 1 more to have a spare and 1 to use for the wipers.

Good step-down transformer
These are excellent step-down transformers. I've got several of them, and they always seem to have the right voltage and amperage for my applications. I've got a couple that are a few years old now, and still working very well. Excellent product, highly recommend.** UPDATE **Had to take away a star on March 18th, 2017; last one I ordered only lasted 14-months, and that was with powering a simple 10w transistor radio (insignificant, constant load). Durability shouldn't even be a consideration on a simple dc/dc power converter, either it should work, or it shouldn't - not 14 months until dead - not when stepping down a constant load that's half the rated load.

Works great
Bought to build an external battery for a Spartan game camera. They use a 6 volt battery source. I use a 12 volt battery with a solar panel in sn smmo can. Works great. Keeps me from replacing batteries during the season.

Works perfectly
Installed this on my BRZ to get my OEM rearview camera to work with my new chinese android headunit (Dasaita PX6). Had to solder a custom harness, and connecting the ground cable to the harnesses' ground loom was a bitch. Not this item's fault though. Successfully converts the 12v power to 6v that the damn camera takes. Much better than the power converter that comes with the AX-SUB28SWC-6V. So unfortunate they discontinued the axxess harness that came without their useless converter they provide with, and which increases the price for something you will never ever use since it is hot garbage. This Drok converter is miles ahead better.

Input voltage must be 12 volts
I bought this product to convert a 6v ride on toy to a 20 volt dewalt battery but the 20 volt input voltage was too high to let the converter do its job

Great Value for the Money
The unit looks to be of good quality and good fit and finish. It's very compact making it easy to mount in tight areas. I did a quick hook up of the unit to check the voltage and it puts out a solid 6 volts DC (see photo). I will use this unit to power the 6 volt motor drives on my telescope mount so I can do away with the 4 - D Cell Battery pack that is currently on it. This unit costs about the same as a pack of batteries so it will pay for itself.
