Moves easily
Built a very heavy work bench. Can move the bench easily with these wheels.

Easy install. Wheels glide smoothly!
Awesome product! Very easy to install. I just used a scrap piece of 2x4 to make a template for the holes that needed to be drilled and this whole project took me about 30 minutes. My workbench practically glides across the floor now. I will definitely be buying more for my other shop furniture.

By far one of the coolest things in my shop
The media could not be loaded. I freaking LOVE THE CASTERS!! As much as one can love casters - I love this 100x more! I ordered them before completing the framework of my workbench and after a very solid review / comparison from an amazon customer comparing it to the Rockwell version. I had some harbor freight casters laying in waiting but once these arrived and I checked out the quality I knew without hesitation they would kick butt, I returned the HF ones and a month later I installed these.Admittedly I raised and lowered my workbench about a dozen times. I sat and admired the coolness of these things more than I care to admit. While my skill level of woodworking is still very much beginner - these make me feel like a pro. I placed them on the interior of my posts because the set up of my WB will have nested carts stored under it, so far it’s been a breeze moving this around. The drop when i lowered my bench was dramatic the first time I used it so take that into consideration when installing these. I also added thin fabric to the bottom of the legs so the posts didn’t get damaged. This kit comes well packaged, has good solid weight and sturdiness to them, install was easier than all my other casters - even easier those cheapy ones that go into the plastic carts which obviously are easy but you get my point.Long story short, these casters rock, price is fantastic, and I wish I could put them on everything. Some of the other customer pics show the wheels slanted - mine don’t look like that, also mine don’t raise up more than an inch which is exactly how I wanted it to be. If you are debating on these STOP, get these casters now!! You will not be disappointed!

Game changer if you have the right installation tools
These are amazing for allowing me to move a heavy, compact table saw around my workshop/garage. My gripes are: 1. The template provided is great, but more guidance on the size of pilot hole provided would be appreciated. I used calipers and went undersized drilling through a 2x4 and stripped out 2 of the provided screws (eventually used a 3/16” but and on one of the legs used a 1/4-20 bolt). 2. There is hardly any clearance between the upper mounting hole and the foot lever, so it made tightening the included screw a challenge. 3. Make sure that you either have a 13/16” cone/pedal wrench or a big set of channel locks to tighten the caster in place.Again, so far they are super useful, but more guidance on the installation would be nice

Simply perfect...
This set of Powertec 1700 Workbench Casters is a must for any work bench/table in the shop. For $60 (sometimes as high as $79) on Amazon and free shipping it is a great deal at $60. Just received via Prime and installed the same day - about 30 minutes total for all four legs. Simply drill two pilot holes for each caster - one at 4 3/4 inches and one at 2 inches from the floor, screw in the mounts, add the casters and tighten the caster bolts. Done.Works perfectly. I am now able to move my old woodworking table made from a 2X4s and 4X4s which I beefed up and converted to a machining/sharpening/grinding/pounding on table easily around the shop.I added a sheet of 1 inch plywood left over from some barn flooring and added a scrap piece of 1/2 inch sheet of plywood as the top. Then added additional table braces and a lower shelf made from 2X6s. Added a Rockler vise and machinist vise on opposite corners along with an old saw horse vise at one end. It also holds a removable grinder and sharpening wheel that I store on the shelf underneath. This beefed up table is very heavy by design and I needed the flexibility to move it around shop - sometimes it needs to be out of the way of the wood shop area and I also needed the ability to move it outside. The Powertec casters work perfectly for this. I mounted them on the inside length of the bench - mounting the shelf 10 inches high to allow for the caster levers - and this way the casters are not in my way when I have the work table on all fours. A simple detail to consider, but important if you don't want to trip over the casters/levers.Highly recommend these casters for any work table or work bench where you need the flexibility to move it. I plan to build a new wood working work table/assembly table and will get another set of Powertec casters for this as well.

Great wheels for a workbench, after mounting adjustment
Once installed at the correct height, these work perfectly*. I have them on a 4' x 8' workbench that folds up and mounts on the wall. (you can find the design on Youtube) I built one just like it a few years ago with standard locking castors, and I was never happy with how much wobble it had, no matter how hard I tried to lock the wheels. These flip down style are great. One minor annoyance; each castor mounting plate has 6 holes, yet the package only includes enough to put 4 in each plate. Not a big deal as long as you know that before you start drilling and installing 6 screws in each, only to run out.*NOTE - if you use the included mounting template as directed, you will NOT be happy. The issue is that because the wheels pivot, when they are flipped up, there is a high orientation and a low orientation. Following the template exactly will leave the low orientation low enough that the wheels will still roll on the floor, preventing the leg from touching the ground. The solution is simple, just move the template up 1/4" from the bottom of the leg.
