Fantastic replacement for heavy steel Anchors
This is the second Guardian Anchor I have ordered to use as a stern anchor on my 18' Grady White center console. For the past year I have been using the next larger version for a bow anchor. When paired with the 3 foot stainless steel chain sold separately by Amazon, both anchors are remarkably light and easy to handle, yet set firmly and provide positive holding power. They are well made and very easy to assemble. Being an older boater, I am thrilled with these lightweight anchors. Very satisfied with quality, performance and price....

Excellent anchor as well as outstanding customer service
I have one of these anchors,(larger) that I have used for the past two years. Could not be happier. I bought this one to replace an older style anchor that I had continual problems with setting even in soft mud and grass. These anchors are really the best I have ever used. Very light to handle and never have any problem with either setting or releasing. Mud slips right off as it is pulled in. This one was missing the nuts for the bolts. I contacted the company via email and the replacement parts arrived three days later. Very happy!

These are the Best
Fortress anchors are the bomb and perfect great when combined with a good length of chain. I bought this one for a stern anchor when sitting at the sandbar in my 24 foot cc. Works good for what I need BUT as a primary anchor for that so e boat you need to go larger. My other fortress does that job. Can't go wrong with these and could use this as an emergency backup if I really needed to.

Light, solid
I like the light weight of this product. I've used a fortress anchor for my 240 Sundancer and it's great, so this little guy as a stem anchor on my 21' should be fine.

I don't think the anchor opens up to a proper angle
So, on the pic of the item you see the anchor "open" and in real life it does not expand any further. I think the angle is very small, it barely goes to 45 degrees. Very shallow angle. So, the issue is the deployment in sand is poor, it does not dig in as deep. I have a 14 feet inflatable boat and with a long chain added, the boat does not stay in one place, slowly the anchor drags. I feel like I need to grind the aluminum to let the anchor open up more, it is such a chore.

Great anchor.
This one replaces one I've had in the boat for years. It has been a great anchor. I got it hung up in some trees that were at the bottom of the lake. It wasn't the anchors fault. I was sad to cut the line.

Huge Holding power
Bought this for my 17foot Scout, but used it on July 4 for my 24ft yamaha as a test. Held very well for it's tiny size and easy storability.
