Q: Is this solution clear or will it stain the wood?

It is clear and does not affect the wood appearance at all once it is dry.

Q: Can i treat garden furniture previously treated with lindseed oil?

Unfortunately the preserver would not be suitable to be applied onto a linseed oil application.

Q: If the wood has a bit of rot and is soft, would this work?

Don't think it will work when it's got like that

Q: The tin has a paper label with a date (in the past) stuck to the top. Is this the expiry date or date of manufacture?

Hi, this will be the date of manufacture unless it is preceded by "BB" in which case it will be the best before date.

Ease of application and effectiveness.

Good product.Easy to apply - used a garden pressure sprayer. A little expensive especially if you need to apply more than 1 can.

Very impressive product

Water resistance excellent. Always woner about these products that claim the water rolls off, but actually happens. In addition to fencing and a gate I also used it on a well used garden table set and the water genuinely gathers in drops on top and can be swept off. Have reordered for next year already.

Damaged container but good product

Can arrived badly dented and at risk of leaking from the nearly ruptured can. I have bought two of these previously with no problem at all and the actual product is good but the risk of this leaking is a concern to me. The outer Amazon box was not damaged but the packing was inadequate to protect the metal can inside.

Clear no colour

I use this not because it’s the best but because I don’t want my lovely original fence panels to look anything but natural and this stuff does it that. I expect there are some preservers that are better but they change the colour and I dont want that. I used it 3 years ago and now again and it looks okay ask me again in 3 years time it may change.
