Does this go on the bottom of the oven or on the rack?

Hi, Thank you for your question. Carl here of Applegoose. I recommend, for electric ovens with visible heating element, to place the liner under the heating element. For electric ovens with hidden heating element and for all gas ovens, place the liner on the lowest wire rack and not directly on the oven floor because the floor is too hot for it and also the liner may block the heat vents.

does this lay flat, or does it curl up since it comes in a roll?

Hi dstew51, Thank you for your interest on the product. The oven liner is a 70-inch long continuous roll. As soon as you pull it from the box, it unrolls itself into a flat long mat. This is ideal if you have long surfaces to cover or save on trimmings when cutting it for shorter ones since you can plan your cut. An ordinary pair of household scissors will do to cut it.
