What is the advantage/disadvantage of the difference in ball size?

A smaller ball hits deeper muscles and is more intense. It depends on what you are looking for. What I do not like about this ball is that there is no "give" to it at all. It is rock hard. I was looking for one like they have at my gym which has a slight give to it and makes it easier to use and less painful.

If I used this against a wall in my home would it damage the wall with little dents?
