Polarity!
If you plan to use this product with PC boards from Adafruit, Sparkfun or the like - be aware that the battery polarity on this assembly is BACKWARDS from what those boards are expecting! You are quite likely to DESTROY the connected board using this battery AS-IS.ABSOLUTELY check the battery versus whatever you plan to connect it to!

Non standard battery?
Item: YDL 3.7V 500mAh 502248 Lipo Battery w/ PH2.0mm JST ConnectorSeller: Wing DeliTL;DR: Double check the measurements of your battery before getting this unit - perhaps the 502248 size batteries are not a real industry standard? So the battery in my sunbeam nightlight gave out and instead of buying a replacement for $25, I decided to replace just the battery. Good for the environment and for the wallet yah? Opened it up and found the battery and figured that like AA batteries, the 502248 designation was an industry standard, so I searched for the cheapest one and took a gamble (I mean the name of the seller implies they are a deli right? Maybe it's just a phonetic spelling and not really an actual deli that happens to sell batteries next to ham, baloney, and cheeses).Unfortunately, as you can see from my pic, the newer battery is a bit longer than the one I am looking to replace. Searching elsewhere (eg, ali you know what website), I not only found them cheaper but also of a slightly different size. So while the seller at least cautions the buyer regarding the connector polarity, they should have also specified the exact size of the battery (not just the dimensions of the connector and package). Lucky for me, I was still able to fit it in my nightlight and it's once again working. Don't have an easy way to measure the capacity of the battery so am hoping it really is 500mAh (i mean it's larger than the original so I'm hoping that it is, even if it's made of inferior materials).FYI, the battery I was replacing is about 5x22x43mm. The one from Wing Deli is about 5x22x60mm.

DO NOT BUY FOR YOUR MEOWBIT
bought this for my meowbit but the positive/negative cables were reversed, good thing i didn't plug it into my meowbit, it might have ruined it.

Great little battery.
Used it in a project for my kids, it just powers some rgb flashing LEDs that has a 555 timer set up as an on off switch, and the output of the 555 drives the gate of a mosfet to turn on all the LEDs. Only have to recharge it once every few weeks and they play with it quite a bit, mileage will vary. Has a protection board on it and it always cuts of at around 2.8 volts. Only downside is there is no data sheet on it, so not sure what constant current to charge it at... so I just charge it at 1/4 amp, since that is 1/2 c, and set my constant voltage to 4.2 volts, and it works fine. Will buy more for future projects.

Worked for Arduino, but check polarity!
I bought this to use with an Arduino MKR WAN 1310. I only need it as a backup to keep the Arduino running should the mains power fail, so I wasn't too concerned with runtime (I'm gambling that this battery will keep my Arduino alive for at least a few hours or more).Like other reviewers have reported, don't plug it in without first double-checking the polarity to make sure it isn't backwards! In my case, I did have to reverse the wires in the connector before I could use it.Otherwise, the battery pack seems to be well made, and I'm confident it'll serve my purpose fine.

The JST connector got stuck
I've heard that some cheaper JST connectors don't mate/release cleanly, and this is the first time I've ever had it happen. The battery plug got stuck in my device and was a REAL pain to get out (pliers and permanent damage sort of pain). I replaced the plug, and the battery is working pretty well now.

BE AWARE BEFORE CONNECTING!!!
Turns out this battery has the leads soldered backwards for the jst connector, I plugged it into a adafruit micro lipo charger and it began smoking and burnt my finger. Make sure to verify which way your jst device needs the hot/ground wire orientated before plugging in!
