I purchased 18 of these, all failed one by one, within months, setting off false alarms, contacted seller, they said that sensor may be dirty, and asked me to clean using vacuum cleaner, or blower, I did everything they said, nothing worked, I wrote to them months ago, they never replied. Don’t get into their trap.

Small and well build . Easy to install only detects smoke.. would have been better if it could detect gas leak and heat sensing. It will trigger after 3 to 5 min if the smoke continues. Will recommend to all very useful .Saved me from kitchen fires a couple of times now.It is not working properly now after 1 year. Have started giving false alarm. Dnt know whats the use of 10 years battery life if the product is malfunctioning in a year.

After some search I decided to purchase the Smiledrive compact photoelectric smoke sensor. My decision was based on the size, shape, design, 10 year battery life, self test option, stand alone function, realibility in the event of fire. I received the sensor in a nice package delivered before time. First day I was bit confused to test the alarm (you need to press both the red small button on top and the red indicator light at the same time. After installation only the red indicator light) and I thought it's not working and decided to ship it back. Within couple of hours I got a call from the company and they explained me to do some basic checks and its working...i really appreciate this support. Now I installed it1.its very easy to install using a backplate with screws. To start the sensor you need to connect the sensor to the backplate. This will press a small red button on top and that will power the sensor. Now if you press the red LED, it will give 5 loud beeps. It's loud and sharp enough to hear in a big house. I used double sided tape to fix the sensor to the desired location. It's very light weight.2. I used real smoke to test it and it's working as expected and explained in the user manual3. user manual is good for proper installation and maintainance4. I like the design. It's compact and elegant.5. The red indicator light flash in a specific time gap, gives you an indication that it's working.Overall I liked the product. The company claim 10 year battery life which need to be time tested and I hope it will last that long. But is always a good idea to test the alarm once in a while.Also planning to buy couple more for my house.

The test button is non-functional so don't know if the device is working.

The media could not be loaded. it is small thing yet is a powerful product , it sure is worth the money and the detection is fast and smoldering fire , would be odering few more for sure. nice build quality too.

Used for two months, after two months the product stopped working, the red light keeps in ON state, some times it create a crack sound when red light beeps after 1 minute.

The test went good. It is really small but the alarm is quite loud...
