Hi! The PIXA 3 100 Lumen is not rechargeable, it work with 2 AA/LR06 batteries . The rechargeble model is the PIXA 3R, it have a USB 5 V cable but the Petzl not recommend a recharge form a computer. Yes it fits, it also has the option of not using the band and directly inserting into the helmet.

Q: Will the mounting plate work with other helmets, or just Petzl?

The mounting plate that comes with the Pixa 3 only works with Petzl Helmet. We have other mount plates for different helmets and hardhats
