It’s same on front and back. Great product 👍🏼 Warm and very well made. I highly recommend it.

Q: how do you wash it? Can it be washed in washing machine?

I washed it in the machine with tide and dried it on high heat. I shrank a little, but that was good for me. I love this poncho. PS Mine features the Virgen, not the calendar, but it’s the same.
