Some teething problems but alls well that ends well - here's some tips
Overall:Although I had some initial problems with the product, I have to give five stars because of the excellent customer service I received from House_of_Enki and the current state of showering satisfaction in the household.Installation:Once the water pipes were in place the installation of the mixer bar took about ten minutes. It was pretty much just making sure the wall fixings were in the right place (I did this by using the mixer outlets to create a paper template of exactly where the mixer needed the wall fixings to be). Once the water was back on it worked immediately, and I had no shortage of volunteers wanting to take if for a test run.Problems and solutions:1) Minor problem: the knob on the right - the temp control - was not attached and kept coming off in the hand while showering. It took a bit of detective work to discover that the silver bobble on the end could be popped off via a small indent and that there was a screw rattling about inside that could be used to affix the knob to the end of the cartridge mechanism. This also meant that the position of the knob had to be carefully calibrated to ensure the temperature markings were aligned with the actual temperature.2) Major problem: the shower had a constant drip when the left hand knob - on/off - was tuned off. I contacted House-of-Enki and they replied within a few hours and gave me instructions on how to remove the valve and clean it. I did this but the drip persisted. I sent a photo to HOE and they responded by sending me a replacement valve. When it arrived this took about 5 minutes to install - and so far so good – the drip seems to be fixed.Overall product observations:Once the niggles were sorted out the product is excellent:• Intuitive to install - (also to maintain - I have had the whole thing apart under the guidance of HOE and both ends can be refurbished. There’s a cartridge on one end and a valve on the other that can easily be removed and replaced).• The heat mixing and temperature regulation are excellent. The temperature stays constant and responds fast to adjustments while you shower.• It looks great on the wall - clean modern lines.• It accepts standard shower hose attachments.• It replaced an electric shower and the pressure increase was a huge unexpected bonus. I do not have to turn it on to full power to get a great shower. Far superior to the electric one it replaced. Between this and the potential power bill savings by moving the water heating to gas, I can't understand why I did not get one of these sooner.• The unit is a solid construction and seems to be well engineered.• The customer service is very prompt and excellent if you do have a problem with your product.Hope this helps someone looking at purchasing one of these things.

A Headline
Well, you think of a headline. I'm busy writing a review. My shower cubicle is made of those plastic panels on a wooden framework; the pipes are behind it and aren't fixed in place. This meant I had to fit a wallplate as you can see in the photo. This turned out to be a big job which I won't bore you with. I didn't buy the one advertised here, as this one takes three screws: it's solid as a rock.Anyway. About the valve. It arrived quickly and packed so well it seemed a shame to take it out. When I did, some water came out; that's good, they test them before shipping. With the wallplate in place, fitting took all of 60 seconds. On first use, the water seemed a bit tepid; I pressed the safety button and turned it right up. Still tepid. I turned it down to cold - it went cold - and up again. This time it worked properly and has done ever since, and if it happens again I know what to do.Our previous valve was a sequential with different pipe centres (thus the problems fitting the wallplate; you do get the cranked adapters with it, but that wasn't helpful in my case), and this one is thermostatic which is far better. Previously, if the Domestic Authority was in the shower, and I turned a tap on elsewhere, she screamed enough to bring the neighbours knocking on the door. The response time is almost instant; no more than a second, I'd say. You won't even notice it.If you shop around, you can buy more expensive ones, but I don't see how they'd be any better. This one doesn't feel cheaply made; it feels reassuringly heavy, and if it fell out of a tree on to your head I reckon it'd kill you.Thoroughly recommended. And it's British. Yay.

ENKI, Luna, BBT0065, Chrome, Thermostatic Bath Shower Mixer
I really wish I had bought this item earlier. Easy to fit and works perfectly. I bought this to replaced an electric shower, it has paid for itself! Great, powerful shower which is very easy to use.

Ok but a limited life
Bought two if these (shower bars). Certainly eàsy to fit. The thermostate control was always somewhat stiff which probably contributed to its failure in less than a year (10 months). On examination the plastic splines in the control knob which connect to the brass splines of the inner mechanism had worn away. A better shower would have had a brass insert in the control knob. Update. I am upgrading from one to a five star as having contacted the company they have supplied me with a replacement thermost knob and I suspect most if not all these showers have a similar design flaw.

Temperature
Looks great and easy to install but it won't get hot. I followed the instructions to raise the temperature but it still isn't getting hot, it gets warm but that's it.
