I got these cups (or "glasses") three hours ago. I've got Maker's Mark bourbon in one them. I love these wooden "glasses," but I've wondered what the wood is. I'm sure it's not oak. All of the desciptions refuse to tell what the wood is. The insides are charred like an actual bourbon barrel. I just wish it were oak. Still, I'm happy with what they are. At least I know that they won't shatter in the sink, like the stemless wine glass did that sliced my thumb. I like these "glasses." I just hope they last.

I never write reviews, but I was super impressed with Oaksips customer service. I bought this several months ago and my husband used this product three times and realized there was a crack in the side so it leaked slowly. But he loved it so much he didn’t want me to return it. I thought that was silly and honestly forgot to return it. I couldn’t return thru Amazon since we had had it so long. I reached out to Oaksip and not only were they fast to respond, they were sending me and extra one as well. Customer service 10/10

Why did you pick this product vs others?:this was a Father's Day gift, and it was what he requested, so I haven't personally used it but my dad is very happy! when I first received the item I was a little bit surprised that it didn't smell charred or Smokey or anything and I wasn't sure how it would actually affect the drinking experience, but my dad used it right away and said it had a great flavor made his whiskey smoother, and kept ice cold longer. would buy it again for another whiskey lover!
