Good ice maker. Does not make as much ice as shown in picture, but maintains about 4x drinks worth of ice before it needs to make more. The process is automatic and only requires keeping the correct amount of water in the reservoir. It can hold ice fairly well and the melt off simply goes back into the reservoir where it will be turned back into ice when needed. We only requested this because our fridge ice maker was on the fritz and we wanted to ensure we had access to ice. Got a new fridge and while that ice maker is able to keep up with more ice, we still prefer the ice this one makes. This machine is also a great option for making additional party ice. Would recommend.

This countertop ice maker delivers great performance and is an excellent choice for those who may need extra ice for things like parties or gatherings. It starts making ice quickly and offers two different sizes of ice (a nice feature!). The ice is not as hard as traditional ice makers, which might make it nice for those who want "chewable" ice and the domed cylinders remind me of pebble ice, if a bit larger. The compact size and retro appearance are nice and make it easy to store, it is easy to operate with not too many controls, it is easy to clean, and overall, I like it quite a bit. With that said, the ice does not have a freezer compartment so once the ice is made, it is kind of "use it or lose it" and can make a mess if you are not careful. You also need to add water continuously to keep making ice, which can also be a little distracting if you are busy doing other things. The unit works fine for smaller gatherings but this is definitely not a device for larger gatherings where there is no way it can keep up with ice production as quickly. Just be aware of these limitations and you should be happy with what you get!

First, this ice maker counter top is large but not huge , about roughly 40% larger than some of the rice cookers. The design is simple, with minimal parts to touch to operate. To use it, just pour water into the machine up to the "max" line and turn on the power to start making ice. You only have two option to make ice. I love the small ice blocks it produces - very cute and works well for small drinks. One thing to keep in mind is that this unit is not a freezer - ice blocks are NOT being kept cold and will melt if left out for too long. This unit works well for a small party size. For large parties, you make want to start making ices the day before and store them in freezer. The indicator for add water and ice is full is great feature to avoid opening the lid. Overall, this unit is easy to operate, easy to read indicator lights, and no complex instructions required. I think this is a good ice maker tool but allow time to make large ice quantities.

This counter top ice maker works really well especially for the price. There are two different sizes to choose from and ice is ready to go very quickly. I have found that while making the ice if you allow it to sit for a bit in the machine it does start to take on the "pebble" or "crushed" ice texture which I love! It is solid and hard right away after being made and dispensed but when I would come get some out of the machine after it had been sitting for like 30 plus minutes it would be softer and crunchy and so good.The machine is a bit noisy so be aware that it is not super quiet and it does take up a fair amount of counter space. You will also need to clean it out every so often, but draining it and cleaning is very easy as it has a stopper at the bottom that you can pull out while holding over the sink.I got this closer to the winter so I stopped using it as much over these colder months, but I am looking forward to having it going more as spring and summer approach and I'm making iced coffees and teas every day.
