This can opener works smoothly and quickly. The magnet lifts the lid once the operation is complete. I also like that the unit can be recharged and doesn’t need batteries. It’s nicely made.

Unique, interesting, a bit slow cutting, different cutting design.We opened this fresh out of the box and had lots of energy left, so we opened a few cans. Wasn't quite certain on the design, followed the instructions, again, and again, and again, seemed to get no results. However, my wife picked up the can and the lid fell off. This cuts from the side, I'm quite used to can openers that cut from the top. The side cut was so thin we never realized it was open already. For our previous can opens, open top design, really do a number on destroying the can, so this was a pleasant surprise.There is a lip at the end of the opener, this is designed to grab the cut lid instead of using your hands. Nice addition here, especially for a thin cut and likely finger hazard. In turn, the "on/off" switch takes a moment to get used to. Set this on the can, and turn on. The motor moves the rotation close to the cutting head, and just keeps going. Hit the same button on top, you hear the motor turn off then back on. This is the motor reverse and moving the rotation away from the cutting head. So, turning off, you have to give it a few seconds to turn itself back off. The recharger is a rubber strip that removes from the top, and uses the same USB charging type as most phones and tablets.This is still new, but with most cheap electronics, they aren't so much designed to last years, but rather easily and cheaply replaced. I can't say for certain on this. So far, it is an interesting design I have to get used to, but I like what it's done so far, it has done well to cut cans from the side lid and make nice clean cuts. The rotation and cutting head look to last a while, but uncertain of the motor. If the motor lasts the duration of recharging the battery over the next couple years, it will have been well worth while. If it lasts a year, I'll be happy. The price is pretty good, on par with other can openers of this type. For old counter designs, this is more expensive, but this can easily be stored in a drawer when not in use. Find your balance, I may yet get used to this, let's see what it does over time given the old countertops that lasted years.

I love, love, love that this can opener is rechargeable. I love that it cuts the can so that there are no sharp edges. I love that it cuts in such a way that the lid is replaceable. I love that it's one touch to use. This is an excellent choice for anyone with difficulty using traditional can openers. Great gift choice for elderly or those who suffer with arthritic hands or only have the use of one hand. (That's my personal notation. The directions say that it's not intended for use by people with physical limitations. I can only guess why that would be so).Be careful when you remove it from the box. It had a residual charge, and I must have touched the button when taking it out of the box, because it started up! I'll probably store this in its box instead of just tossing it in a drawer to avoid accidental operation of the opener. That's the only area for improvement that I've found.It comes with its own Type C charging cable.A solid 5-Stars

Construction is solid. All components are well-made with no flaws. No marks of odors.Impressions:Good quality can opener. It hooks on can rims easily, works at a touch of a button and removes lids completely and cleanly. The magnet doesn't always remove the can lid by itself but I don't consider that a downside. The lid is disconnected every time but it does take a little pressure to completely separate it.I love this kind of can opener for so many reasons-ease of use, perfect for those with limited strength, and the lid never contacts the food inside the can, or the wheel of the opener for that matter. Even if you wash the can, which we do, I still prefer nothing touch the contents.It works flawlessly and being rechargeable it's really the perfect can opener.

This is the first electric can opener I have had and I am upset I didn’t get one before. Since this is my first one I have nothing to compare it to. Are there better ones? Is this very basic? I don’t know but I love to and I have no complaints.my 2yo got into the box and opened it up and things were all over the place. So I had no directions if there were any. But i figured it out in one try. It’s very easy. At first I thought it didn’t do anything when I tried a tuna can I didn’t know it would cut the actual entire lid off below the edge! It was a very smooth cut and not sharp at all! Tonight I used it again for dinner and it came in so handy when I was busy with two other dishes I could just set this on the corn and walk away and it was ready when I got back. I really like it. Simple and effective! I’ll never use a manual again! It also comes with a charger so we aren’t changing batteries which is a huge plus. Can’t complain, I recommend!

This is really cool. I like that I can put it on the can and turn it on, then do other things while it opens. It doesn't leave any sharp edges and is easy to clean; just wipe it off.

Can opener is surprisingly easy to use and saves my hands from cramping or hurting after opening cans. The edges are smooth after cutting so it is fairly safer than traditional can openers. Battery lasts quite a long time depending on how many cans you open. A great addition to my kitchen gadgets.

This little can opener works very well and opens cans easily. I'm happy it does as I have arthritis in my hands and using a manual can opener can be difficult. I do have a larger standing can opener, but once in a while cans will come off of that during the opening process. This little opener is much easier to use and does a great job.
