Easy to carry, open and consume on a run.
Perfect hypo treatment for a diabetic - a quick carbohydrate boost to get you back on track. Convenient packaging, seems to survive well in the bottom of a handbag/gym bag so it is at hand when needed. Considerably cheaper than the medical glucogel product plus it actually tastes of orange (which makes it easier to consume).Oh, also great when running - sometimes I'll need 3 or 4 of these over a half marathon to keep my blood glucose levels stable - they are easy to carry, easy to open and easy to consume on the go. I know some people don't like the texture of these gels but they are easy to eat/drink (yes, the texture is somewhere between food and drink) and that is a positive when you don't want to be messing around on a run.Good value.

I'm a fan of them
Since picking up the running bug last summer, I've gone from barely running a couple of KM's to doing 10k races. I tried these one Sunday whilst running my first 10k on my own, got to about 6-7K and started to feel it a bit, so had one of these. No idea if it was a placebo, or actually gave me the juice but it certainly gave me a boost to push on and finish the last few KM's with no issue. I make sure I take these now when I'm running anything over 10k. I've only tried the orange ones so far, and they taste fine for me and don't affect my stomach in any way.

Started using these after friends told me about the benefits of using gels when exercising over 1.5 hours. I also researched the science a little and it seems consistent in recommending around 60g of carbohydrate an hour during extended periods of exercise. The SIS product is isotonic so can be taken without fluid (although I always train with some form of isotonic fluid as well) and is basically a soluble and easily digestible form of carbohydrate. The taste wouldn't win any prizes but it's not that bad. If exercising over 2 hours I take a gel from 1.5 hours onwards every 45 mins if intensive or every hour if easier going. I've exercised with and without this product and when I take it I can really tell the difference. I also noticed less tendency to cramp and generally feeling better when recovering. Whilst I wouldn't say this is a silver bullet, it does feature as one of the things I take as part of my nutrition pack when on endurance events. Out of interest only my other items typically include a good hydro drink, bananas and clif bars.

Probably the best there is.
Your isotonic gel of choice is completely personal preference as some tend to cause various side-effects. However, I have now tried s few different brands and I have found that these SIS Go to be just right for long runs (or other endurance events). The pack size is not too bulky and will fit snugly into most belt holsters or pouches, the consistency of the product is probably the best of both worlds - not impalatebly thick such that you end up gagging, nor is it so liquid that you might as well be drinking lucazade.I occasionally get irritation around my mouth because of the foil packaging - this isn't ideal, and I did consider dropping a star for it. However, I have since reflected and decided that it is likely to be my technique. The past suggests one every 20 minutes which I would say is fine if you are running no more than 12 miles (20km) or so. If you want to go any further I strongly advise you to ration them to perhaps once every 40 minutes otherwise you'll spend the next two days occupying the toilet in rather a lot of discomfort. As for the taste - these orange ones are the most palatable and the lemon ones are not too bad either. I suspected that they may taste of old army 'screech', but they are actually rather tasty.I now use SIS regularly for long runs (I actually don't bother for anything less than 10km). One every 40 minutes and sips of water as I go appears to keep me moving

Very good gel.
I got this gels for my first 55km ultramarathon, the taste is great and they keep you going, they did not generate any kind of stomach issue on me and were very easy to consume. my only regret is that I didn't buy enough of these gels. I will be getting more for my next adventure.
