Q: Is the seat solid wood or veneer over particle board? The description says both in different places.

I feel like the seats are solid wood. They are very sturdy and do not look like particle board at all. I am very happy with these - I have 6 of them.

Q: Is this good for outside

Use for outside transitorily is ok. We do not sugeest put them outside long term, that may cause rustness
