Well worth the $50 - get it
This was a fantastic product. Once you get it set up, it's easy to use and gets the job done. I was cutting natural stone that was about 1/4 in thick, and I never had a problem. As others have mentioned, the water does get dirtier and dirtier the more you cut, but if you change out the water every so often, no problem! The saw blade that comes with the product is great - no need to buy another blade.I used this wet-saw to cut tile for a kitchen backsplash. I had only intended to use it one time and then throw it out (a great use of $50). However, after using it it's still in great shape. I changed my mind and I'm going to hold onto it in case I need it in the future.I do see how this could be considered "flimsy" or "like a toy" or "cheap" as other reviews have commented. However, these qualities did not effect the usability of this product at all, and it was easy to forget about them once you got started. Is it made from cheap materials - yes. But, if you're expecting something made out of metal (not plastic), and something bigger (not small like this), then you need to go and spend more than $50 somewhere else and buy (or rent) an expensive wet-saw (and for no good reason)!Just get this saw - it's all you need.

Great for a DIY project!
Great tile saw for small to medium jobs. I just put mine to use for the first time.Pros. It cuts well for a small saw. Take your time and cut at a normal pace. The motor will bog down if you push too hard which is the same for any saw really. Fairly clean in that it doesn't throw water around while cutting. Handles 12x12 tiles pretty well.Cons. Water tray has an overfill limit but no clear marking. When you overfill it the water just pours out. Plastic guide flexes quite a bit. Easy fix to that is cut a piece of wood to sit in the grooves of the guide to keep it straight.

Good for the money.
This little tile saw worked great for the small subway tiles I had to install. I even used it for much larger 12x24in tiles but I wouldn’t recommend it used for that large of tile. It did really well though. No issues. Definitely worth the money. The only thing I had an issue with was it was missing a nut for the bolt that holds the yellow guide down. Luckily I had one on hand that fit it. Other than that it’s great.

Excellent Tile Cutter
I bought a bunch of fairly thick subway tiles. Needed to cut some L shapes, and grooves for my kitchen. I've done tiling before and disliked my previous tile saw. It was a rusty piece of junk after 2 projects. Hard to clean, hard to use, used to get sopping wet.QEP is plastic. Easy to set up once you figure out how to slide in the blade in the right order of pieces to secure. The water tank is easy to fill. I overfilled and it leaked, but once I got the hang of it, it was easy to monitor the water and add to, no stupid slide out tray that poured everywhere trying to push back into place. By the end of the working day, it had captured a lot of tile dust as putty. The shield keeps the water from spraying. Keep it low, bend over to cut and the water spray is minimal. Switch off and push the guard down and it catches all the spray as it slows to a stop. The casing recycles most of the water. For plastic, this is sturdy enough for my 30-foot tile kitchen backsplash. Easy to clean, it's not going to rust. I stuck it under the tap and cleaned the reservoir and table top, caught the wastewater in a bucket so as not to screw up my sink and pipes.Definitely recommend this.

DO NOT BUY THIS SAW!
It is my fault for not opening and assembling this as soon as I purchased it, but as home improvement projects go...they don't always go as planned. Additional work commitments and problems removing the existing tile, one weekend becomes four and you're way behind on your project. This tile saw should be illegal to sell as much as it vibrates. I used the poorly written instructions to put it together, not all the pieces fit and unlike what is mentioned in the Q&A, the glass tile saw available at local hardware stores...doesn't fit this saw. In all honesty, I really believe I received a dud.I didn't contact Amazon and instead contacted QEP as the big red stop sign sticker indicated. They admitted that the vibration was excessive and recommended I return it to the retailer because there was nothing they could/would do. It was an "oh well, hope you can return it because that saw is low quality so good luck" response. I'd had it more than a month before pulling it out of the box so I couldn't return it.Lesson learned: Don't buy these kinds of products off Amazon and don't purchase QEP products. I ended up renting a saw (which I wanted to avoid and is the reason I bought this one because it was less than the rental) and now I'm out of twice as much money and have a useless tool on my garage shelf. You get what you pay for.

A really inexpensive trim saw.
This is an all plastic trim saw and I was a bit skeptical when I ordered it after reading some reviews referring to it as a toy..The first surprise was when it arrived and I picked up the box. It felt heavier than I anticipated.Unpacking the QEP 22400Q made me feel better. It is plastic, but it is very solid and rigid. The only real downside to getting the saw up an working was installing the blade. You must first remove a flimsy splash shield. Removing the shield is no problem, putting it back is a royal pain using the tiny #4 Philips screw. The water reservoir is quite shallow and if overfilled water pours out the end and onto the table and floor.Using it as a trim saw, the fence is placed close to the saw blade and there are no concerns about the fence flexing .The QEP 22400Q is truly an inexpensive trim saw for the hobbyist maker of thin sections of rocks, minerals and fossils. The saw easily cuts 4mm - 7mm slices of stone, marble, fossil matrix and miscellaneous rocks.A small specimen size works best, but 35mm thick pieces can bu cut using two cuts.If you need to trim thicker slabs the QEP 22700Q nay be a better purchase,The included blade cut marble and quartz with ease.A tad messy, but manageable. Probably best used in a garage, outdoors or in a basement that is easily mopped up.Nowhere near as messy as the old style 6" wet saws.I have no idea how the QEP 2400Q cuts tiles, but it does a nice job on small rocks and stuff.

Good for small projects
Works quite well for thinner tiles. Water spray is tolerable, but would be nice if the measurement guides were gridded across the table portion rather than only at the front and back which has too much play when tightening the guide. Wish the table portion that you lift to add water (or cut angles) was removable to allow for easier clean up. Good for price though.

Cheap but works great
Yes, I can agree with some of the other reviews saying the unit is made out of plastic, and cheaper than other units. but saying this I was installing backsplash tile and this worked great. The unit performed flawlessly and did everything I could ask for. You do have to watch the build up of tile dust in the water tank, but you only need to wash out the tank every so often.( with a hose outside it would take only a couple of minutes). For the DIY homeowner this is all a person needs for small tile jobs.
