Still fishy, but not TOO fishy.
I switched to algae-based omegas about two years ago, but have seen more recent studies that show that seafood-based oil is really what you need if you want the full benefits. The problem is that I've yet to find a seafood-based omega that doesn't give me fish burps or send me running to the bathroom. However, this isn't too bad for me. My guess is because it is salmon-based, because there is still the infrequent fish burp, but it isn't nearly as bad as other omegas I've tried (including from Sports Research). And this one didn't have me feeling as though I needed to have an available bathroom at a moment's notice. So far, so good...

A Premium Choice for Heart Health and Quality
For the past two years, I have been using salmon oil capsules prescribed by my doctor to help manage my LDL cholesterol levels. Incorporating fish oil into my daily supplement routine has proven to be beneficial, as I’ve consistently noticed my LDL levels remaining within healthy limits during my last two blood tests. It's well-known that fish oil, being rich in omega-3 fatty acids, plays a key role in supporting cardiovascular health and reducing LDL cholesterol levels. I’m convinced Salmon Oil capsules are doing their job! Of course, I didn’t just rely on supplements—I’ve also been exercising regularly and swapping fried foods for healthier options like fruits and veggies.Recently, I decided to try Sports Research Salmon Oil. This pack comes with 180 softgels, which is a generous supply, though it’s worth noting that it’s priced slightly higher than the brand I’d been using previously. That said, the quality and experience more than justify the cost. The softgels are easy to swallow, and best of all, they leave no fishy aftertaste or dreaded "fish burps"—a common complaint with lesser-quality fish oils. What sets this product apart is its transparency and sourcing. Sports Research proudly states that their salmon oil is derived exclusively from wild Alaskan sockeye salmon, harvested from Alaskan waters. The fact that it’s certified by the Marine Stewardship Council (MSC), an organization dedicated to sustainable fishing practices, gives me confidence in the environmental responsibility and purity of what I’m putting into my body. Additionally, the softgels are free from additives, preservatives, GMOs, and gluten, making them a clean and natural choice for health-conscious individuals like myself. The company behind this product, Sports Research, is based in San Pedro, California, and their professionalism shines through in their informative website. The website has details about their full product lineup, which includes not just this salmon oil but other omega-3 options like Alaskan pollock oil, krill oil, and even a vegan omega-3 alternative. Their active presence on LinkedIn and the consistently positive reviews across e-commerce platforms further reinforce their credibility. Knowing that I’m using a product from a reputable, U.S.-based manufacturer with a clear commitment to quality and authenticity provides peace of mind.Of course, it’s important to remember that dietary supplements like these aren’t regulated by the FDA, and individual results can vary. I’d strongly recommend consulting your healthcare provider before adding any new supplement to your routine, as I did with my doctor. That said, if you’re looking to boost your omega-3 intake with a high-quality fish oil, I wholeheartedly recommend Sports Research Wild Alaskan Salmon Oil Softgels. From the sustainable sourcing to the clean formulation and noticeable lack of fishy side effects, this product has quickly earned my trust—and a permanent spot in my supplement cabinet.

Reputable brand , well researched supplement, great value.
a) Arrived well packaged and whole. b) if you never heard of this brand, you get a feel of quality just looking at the container and the contents inside. c) High potency fish oil capsule often get sticky together, I did not have any of that occur. d) No fishy "repeats" and while it is hard to qualify a products effect on you, I am not feeling worse! e) Note that a "serving " is two capsules, but this is still a great price point for 3 months of quality salmon oil capsules!

Sports Research Salmon Oil: Premium Omega Support Without the Fishy Drawbacks
Sports Research has delivered an impressive offering with their Wild Alaskan Sockeye Salmon Oil. This MSC-certified supplement provides substantial omega benefits in a surprisingly palatable package. The 180-count bottle offers exceptional value, providing a generous supply that lasts significantly longer than many competitors. At 2500mg per serving, you're getting a potent dose of EPA and DHA fatty acids, which I've found genuinely effective in helping manage my LDL cholesterol levels.Despite their substantial size, these softgels feature a smooth coating that makes them unexpectedly easy to swallow. But perhaps most impressive is what doesn't happen after taking them—no fishy aftertaste or those dreaded "fish burps" that plague so many omega supplements. Sports Research has somehow managed to deliver all the benefits of salmon oil while eliminating the most common complaint. The only consideration for new users: during the initial adjustment period, you might experience mild digestive changes. I noticed slightly more frequent trips to the restroom during my first week. This minor inconvenience subsided quickly and seems a small trade-off for the cardiovascular benefits. For those seeking a high-quality, single-source omega supplement that actually delivers on its "no fishy aftertaste" promise, Sports Research Salmon Oil stands out as a superior option worth incorporating into your daily regimen.
