The rimless glasses are light weight....being honest it was never my intention to weigh them. I needed these glasses to read.

Does the case flip open?

Yes, the blue part hinges open.

Will these turn my nose green? (does it have the "cheap jewelry" effect?)

Hey, NO! they will not turn your nose green. I own three pair of these glasses and so far everything is the color it should be on my face.
