Expensive and bulky but great for the requirement
Challenging to setup but works great. I used the steel reinforcement plate. The instruction manual shows the plate with an image of it sitting flush, I don't think that's possible to achieve with the steel plate, maybe on a desk with less height. From the picture it looked like my desk supported the arm despite not being solid wood, but I didn't risk it.Outside of that tedious but easy setup. My monitor already had some vesa screws, so I had to unscrew those and put in the included plate. The included plate did not snap into my monitor so if you don't hear a snap sound you're still fine, you just put in the small hand screw and I've had no issues. There's also a 180 degree and 360 degree optional adjustment, in case your monitor arm will be close to a wall. I used the 360 degree even though I'm close to a wall.I haven't figured out how I'm going to disassemble this when I move so expect to take most of it apart again. As for the resistance screws, less is more. So be careful even the slightest turn greatly increases or decreases tension. The arm itself is super sturdy, looks great, feels great. It saves a decent amount of space under the monitor but with the reinforcement plate it's definitely a little bulky. This is also expensive so not great value, but more a premium product for monitors you really care about.I wouldn't use this on anything below 27" I would go with a cheaper option. Also if you like flexibility of adjustments get 2 individual arms instead of a dual arm mount. This way you can space them apart how you like perfectly. The 3 year warranty from benQ here is WEAK. Stand behind your product with a 10 year warranty. benQ has always been cheap on warranties.Anyway, not sure if this is OEM or not, but it's definitely a solid monitor arm and I'm happy to use it on my 27" gaming monitor. I also bought a cheaper 2nd arm for my work monitor but have yet to install it. Buying two of these would be pretty bulky and expensive. There's definitely lower profile arms out there but this one supports much heavier weight and sizes so that checks out.The included cable routing is VERY hard to use if you have MORE than 2 cables on your monitor. For example a lot of users have power and then DP, but if you add another DP or HDMI then it struggles for space ESPECIALLY with the newer DP 2.1 cables and 54gbps+ those cables are THICK due to the increased bandwidth (or at least that's what I think) and it was very hard to route. Also ensure your cables are long enough using the included routing takes a big chunk of slack away from the cable, I had to buy a 9 FT DP cable to reach my PC.

Best arm for the money
It looks nice, I was looking for an arm that wouldn’t bend my desk and this one is perfect, it comes with base and feels very sturdy. It also feels high quality, no creaking. My only minor complaint is I wish the instructions were just a tiny bit more detailed. It’s not hard to out together but I did have to take pieces apart twice because I have attached or inserted things the wrong way. Not a huge problem but just a minor criticism. Compared to the ergotron lx this one is cheaper, holds more weight and can hold a larger screen while having a premium feel. Would definitely recommend 5/5

Well Built with a Couple Minor Issues
Bought 4, but I’m returning two because these don’t work for my setup.Minor issue is that the top reinforcing plate has a 1/2” lip, so you can’t use it as intended when you install by drilling. I turned the plate over, but the lip interferes with placement of other items. I may route a 1/2” deep dado later so the plate lip is out of the way.Another issue is unless you have room behind your desk, the monitor will be off-center from the base by about 6”. I drilled the holes based on the monitor being centered to the base, but my desk is against the wall so I can’t center the monitor to the base because of the limited travel of the monitor arms. This limits side-side adjustment. I will probably route a 4-5” slot in the desk so I can adjust sideways. The desk is custom built with 2” the top so the slots won’t weaken it.If you plan on attaching to the back of your desk, you shouldn’t have any issues. Just be aware that the base will be off-center if you have no room behind your desk and adjust accordingly. This monitor arm is well built and sturdy that will hold your large monitors. Assembly was simple & quick.I like BenQ products and have 3 Halo lights that work great also.

Super nice Monitor arm
I was in the market for a monitor arm, and I ran across this one by BenQ. After looking at reviews of many other competitors, I decided to purchase this one. Overall I am very pleased with this arm. It is solid and well made, very nicely constructed! It was easy to put together. If you are in the market for a quality monitor arm, check out this offering from BenQ.

Great ergo arm for monitor- quality build
I purchased (2) to hold 34 inch monitors and after spending an hour patiently assembling the first arm, it took less than twenty minutes to assemble the second. My advice, use the BenQ support video while assembling. Is the arm pricey? It’s a quality build. You get what you pay for.I’m glad I purchased them, good luck.

Great buy for standard standing desks
Looks nice and holds of my 34” ultra wide from Alienware. Unfortunately my stand up desk has a metal boarder so I couldn’t use the clamp as intended. Clamps up to like 2 3/4” while my desk is just at 3”

Quality Monitor Arm
It was easy to put together, and it's a quality arm. It's a little more expensive than budget ones, but it's worth it.
