No reason to buy more expensive color
This is a great quality color. I've tried all brands. Gave Madison Reed a try and hated it. Colorsilk gives a rich, true, consistent color. Grays are 100% covered. Hair is soft and shiny. Truly no reason to buy anything else.

Brings out the highlights
I was using the ultra blonde, but never again! I'm back to using this. The color looks so much more natural! I feel like the blonde highlights come out since this is a little darker.

THE perfect color for a brunette going gray fast!!
I used to use brown color to cover my grays, but the more greys I get, the more obvious my roots become. Also, I found that the brown dye - despite the fact that I'm a natural brunette - made my hair look way too dark. I looked like Ursula when she takes Ariel's body in The Little Mermaid. ("Hey! THAT'S not Ariel...")So then I used dark blonde dye for a while, which helped blur the roots somewhat, but always looked a bit orangey. This mushroom blonde is the perfect solution! It lightens my brown strands just a very little bit, but without adding any copper to it. If I look really closely or in a magnifying mirror, the grays look purplish. They're almost just toned. But from a reasonable/conversational distance, the grays blend somehow and my hair is ashy medium brown.I'll bet that, whenever I eventually decide to quit coloring my hair all together and embrace the gray, I can use this color to ease that transition. So glad I found it!!!
