Nicely made caliper; easy to use and seems accurate. Battery compartment is somewhat frustrating due to the size of the phillips head screws. There is a tool provided but a jewelers screwdriver makes the job a bit easier. Spare batteries is a nice touch. The instrument comes in a hard plastic case. Overall, I'd recommend this instrument as a good value for the price.

Nicer than expected. All metal

These are great for home hobby usage. Cheap and accurate. A little gritty in the sliding action. I wouldn't build a space shuttle with them but for tinkering around the house, they're fine. I did take them apart recently for some cleaning and man, the machining is rough. Lots of burrs and sharp edges but again, they're a bit more than $20. If you're looking for a cheap pair of digital calipers, I'd say these are fine.

Works as it should

The IP54 Waterproof Electronic Micrometer Caliper is the single best set of calipers I have ever used. They are smooth as silk and very repeatable. I purchased a second set for the office when I’m designing an interface to something. They use a CR2032 battery for long life. I used to buy the Harbor Fright calapers until the quality went totaly out the window and the price doubled. I would spend an hour or longer and go through everyone they had in stock for feel and repeatability. Up by my metal lathe I have the real deal made by Starrett, but for everyday around the wood shop and in the office I’ve come to trust theses. They are the closest thing to a Starrett at a reasonable price point that I have ever seen. Add in that I don’t stand there in tears when I drop them either. (It happens). I have two know that I didn’t get to hand pick and you can not tell the difference. They have continuously read the same on any given part. I love these calipers and would honestly recommend them to anyone. One caveat, don’t waste your time with a set that has fractions unless you have router bits that are 137/478. Give me inches and Metric and I’m in heaven.
