It works better than trying to run through an M.2 slot
Decided to try an eGPU with this to transfer bandwidth. Installed in a 3.0 x16 slot of an HP Ryzen 3 desktop. Low power supply. This card has brought a dying desktop back up to speed. Nvidia 2060 super works well in my setupRDR2 benchmarkMin 19Max 63Avg 44 FPSSo that's the skinny on it's capacity, paired with a 2060 Super, and an eGPU with an identical slot.

Huge PCIE to cpu/memory bottleneck with only 4 lanes… love to see an x8 or x16 of these
X4 lanes of pcie 4.0 is terrible for AI workloads memory to cpu throughout extremely bottlenecked, barely useable for modern games as well.

Works great for eGPU
Worked great with a standard ATX motherboard to connect to MINISFORUM DEG1 External GPU Dock Station and an RTX 3090 graphics card. Note that the card has no electronics and no drivers, it just brings the PCIe signals to the Oculink connector - there is nothing really for the card to get wrong.

Works for EGPU.
Works great! Plugged into the pcie 5.0 slot of asrock z890i and connected to the MINISFORUM DEG1 External GPU Dock Station with a gtx 1070.
