Does exactly what I needed
Bent on the pins on my front panel USB header, plugged this in and I can still use one of the ports (I don’t have front panel 3.1 so this was a worthy tradeoff)

Works perfect on ACER PREDATOR 7000 - P07-640
Works perfectly on the Acer Predator 7000, for people who need to convert their 3.1 front hdd caddy to a 3.0 for the front usbs, and use the front usb 3.0 as a 2.0 with a converter for any AIO that requires that.

Works fine with ASUS X299-E Strix motherboard
I needed some extra USB 3.1 ports at the rear of my PC and wanted to utilise more of my onboard Intel ones which are provided by 2 x 20 pin USB 3.1 Gen 1 headers on my ASUS X299-E Strix motherboard. I actually had my case's USB 3.0 ports connected to one of the 20 pin headers on my motherboard but these ports were seldom used and I decided to re-purpose those ports for the rear of the case.My motherboard has an unusual connector for a USB 3.1 Gen 2 Front Panel connector which is unlike any other the other USB connector I've seen. This cable essentially converts this connection into a 20 pin socket that you can plug your case or rear USB 3.1 ports plug into. My plan being to plug my case's USB 3.0 ports into this adapter. The cable itself is quite thin and considerably less thicker that other USB 3 cables I have. I hope this is OK and that there is sufficient shielding in the cable. Although my USB 3 ports on my case won't run at the 10 Gbps that USB 3.1 Gen 2 supports they 'should' be able to run at 5 Gbps without issue. The 20 pin socket on this adapter is every so slightly loose and the 20 pin plugs I have don't have the snuggest of fits into it. I suspect the plug may ease itself out of the socket over time due to vibration etc. This is easily remedied by using some electrical tape or Velcro to secure it but it's something to be aware of. The USB 3.1 Gen 2 connection to the motherboard is fine though and doesn't feel loose.I'm successfully able to connect 2 USB memory sticks to my case's ports which are working fine through this adapter cable so for my requirements it's fulfilled its purpose. There does seem to be mixed reviews on the reliability of these adapters so I'll update my review if it stops working any time soon.Pros:- Allows 2 x USB 3.1 Gen 1 ports to work from the USB 3.1 Gen 2 header on motherboards- Works fine on ASUS X299-E Strix motherboardCons:- The 20 pin socket isn't the tightest fit and might need some help from electrical tape or Velcro- The cable is very thin which suggests it might not be the greatest quality

Works as advertised.
If you don't have a USB-C connector on your case while your motherboard has the 3.1 header and you need an extra USB 3.0 header, this works perfectly and has a decent cable length to it to let you hide it behind the back panel.

Works, but not as expected...
This adapter does indeed link the ASUS dual-3.1 header to a standard dual 3.0 connection. However, only one of the two is connected. I tested the the cable against the schematic using a multimedia and found only half of the pins are connected. This explains why the cable itself is so thin.

Doesn't work with ROG MAXIMUS XI HERO and Corsair Carbide 300R
The cable visually looks well made and fits nicely, unfortunately even though on paper it looks like it should work with my Corsair Carbide 300R case and ROG MAXIMUS XI HERO motherboard it does not. (Unless I misread the versions of USB they both use. :/ of course)
