Glasses only, not source
This is not a plug and play stand alone unit unless you have a phone or tablet with video out via USB C which most phones don't have. I have had to buy the rokid station which Amazon do not sell to make it work at another £130. Buyer bewareEdit: so I went and bought a rokid station to use these glasses so I can now give a proper review. I am very far from being impressed! For a start the cancer warning on the box wasn't very reassuring but I went ahead and connected it all up anyway. After going through about an hour's worth of set up I was asked to confirm who I was and even though the unit was brand new it brought someone else's details up so I had to find a way to remove these details even though it knew I wasn't that person so I don't believe your personal data is safe! Beware!!!! I eventually got everything working only to find the only app that actually works is you tube, my Amazon video does not work so not able to watch films which is why I bought it. It just goes on a loop of "please wait" , I waited for 20 minutes! Next gripe, the sound is terrible, almost unlistenable to with its high end frequency. The glasses themselves are not good, there is a sweet spot in the middle of the picture but everything around the edges is blurred and you can not adjust how far apart the screens are. You can adjust the screens for focus individually but not distance apart so if a child uses it there will be blurring, I'm not a child but my eyes are quite close together so they blurring and it strains my eyes trying to compensate. The fit on the head is not great either, if you want to see the bottom of the screen you have to position the glasses on the bit of your nose between the bone and the cartilage which gets very uncomfortable very quickly. I'm now looking for something positive to say about these as I'm not the moany type but I can't think of anything. I wanted these glasses to replace a big screen and I'm very very disappointed, I feel I have bought a product not fit for purpose and can not recommend strongly enough to not buy this product. In total it has cost me £250 for a very sub standard product and experience. It boasts that it is AR but nowhere in the manual or on screen does it take you to an AR experience. My advice, buy a cheap phone and put it in a Google cardboard, you'll get a better experience by far and you won't feel taken advantage of also you won't destroy your vision trying to focus on an out of focus picture2nd Edit.I watched a you tube video explaining that I had to download the rokid app, I tried to download the rokid app on the rokid station which is the android device you need to make the glasses work however it says....rokid by rokid isn't available on Google play on this device....honestly you couldn't make it up!What is more worrying is that after wearing the glasses my usually perfect vision became so blurry at a distance of 20 meters plus that I was unable to drive my car for over an hour until my vision returned, all in all this experience has turned me into a grumpy old man....a good deal poorer grumpy old man

You will need more wires
This needs a device with usbc display port to work out of the box and chances are yours wont be . You need a hdmi to usbc adaptor which are cheap enough to have included one and save initial dissappointment. If you want to use your phone its best to get a streaming device too like a Chromecast or fire stick but a mirroring dongle for less than a tenner will do. Best order them at.same.time as.the glasses or you may think by following the user manual that they are broken. Big screen is good.SBS 3d is good. VR is terrible as no movement sensors.

Worth It
Got these as a gift a couple of years ago and thought they needed some love in reviews, because it can be really difficult to find any worthwhile information about them due to the market dominance of Xreal.I obviously can't compare these to other offerings other than what I can see in marketing for the ones I don't have but I'll say that since these are probably one of the cheapest and if you're looking for your first set of glasses you can't really go wrong with these. It did take me a few days to get used to them from having no prior experience of XR glasses, and at first I wasn't convinced - it was hard to focus on and the edges of the image were a bit blurry. It was also awkward getting used to not physically moving my head to focus on elements at the edges of the screen.I stuck with it though and spent a good hour tweaking the IPD using the dials on the top of the glasses, and messed with the position of the glasses on my head and it all suddenly made sense - now I can't imagine not using these things day-to-day: I use them on my Steam Deck while my wife is tying up the TV and they're brilliant.I even use remote play on my deck to stream more demanding games from my PC upstairs straight on to my face, and because the micro-OLEDs are 1080p, you get a crystal clear image, providing you've done the necessary IPD tweaking and positioning - the glasses are even recognized by the XR Decky plugin, which allows you to anchor the image on Steam Deck so you can move your head around without moving the image. Did I forget to mention out of the box they also have a 3D mode? Whatever content you're viewing needs to support split-image 3D however, but some older games on steam do and it's great being able to access this and see it yourself by just long-pressing the brightness button on the glasses. There are only three real negative opinions I hold about these;Firstly, the aesthetic design is way behind competitors - while the rest look like a trendy pair of sunglasses these look more like a small pair of skiing goggles. I definitely won't be using these on public transport but, that said, I probably wouldn't use the others in public either (if looks are important to you): you're still going to have a wire trailing from your head and they're still going to sit way further forward from your face due to the lenses no matter if they look like traditional sunglasses or not so not a big issue for me - you'll get funny looks no matter which of these XR specs you pick.Secondly, you only get one nosepiece with these and depending on how you have to position the glasses to get the best image it can become quite uncomfortable after an extended period of time. I will give it credit by saying it's flexible though, so you can adjust it if you find it doesn't quite fit in it's normal position. Finally, while there are built in speakers in the glasses the sound quality is pretty bad, so you'll definitely want to wear earbuds when using them instead - but there is no way to connect these to the glasses themselves, so you'll need to keep in mind that you'll need to connect them to your source device - either wireless headphones via Bluetooth or wired via an audio jack if it has one.At first when I got these I was a bit underwhelmed, not seeing the use of them over just sitting in front of a TV or using the screen on my steam deck, but after taking the time to play with the IPD adjustment they've grown on me immensely and this is the positive I want to stress - this is one of the cheapest on the market now and a lot of alternatives don't even come with manual IPD adjustment dials, instead relying on you just adjusting the nosepiece to position the glasses on your face so they aren't blurry.I've never used Xreals or Vitures so I can't compare to the Rokid Airs, but even though I've been curious I haven't felt a significant urge to try any others - I still get a lovely clear, colourful and big screen right on front of me that's ideal for playing games on my Deck wherever I am, and I don't see the point in shelling out even more money for a more popular brand with the risk that the image quality will just be the same, only marginally better or actually worse - especially considering the manual IPD adjustment guarantees I can dial in the clarity on the Rokids. If you're on the fence as to whether XR glasses are for you, the Rokid Airs are a great entry point if nothing else.

Lack of volume control - not for me
I was really looking forward to the freedom offered by these smart glasses. The pictures quality, comfort and adjustable focus per eye were all perfect. The inability to use my Bluetooth headset and / turn volume up or down was a very surprising and disappointing discovery.

Confusing
This product is very confusing for iPhone users. I bought one and it’s so hard to link it to my iPhone. What a terrible product why can’t this be made clear for iPhone users. Waste of time
