Great Fingerpicking Folk Nylon String Guitar
Cool looking lightweight (-4 lb) solid mahogany top 50mm nut width, cutaway and good, simple and discrete Fishman electronics. Not so much a classical guitar as a mellow fingerpickin’ blues and folk machine. Beautiful maple binding on body and neck is classy. 50mm just right as is 12th fret neck body join. 60 years of pickin with that many hi class guitars and this C4CE is perfect for my style. Bought warehouse return, required DIY humidification, set up and tweaking. Switched out tuners with nice Golden Gate Daddario soundhole tuner and added Tenor string ties. New strings always help. A great rig at low$. Satin finish is very old school Americana cool. Yamaha just bought out Cordoba and I doubt they’ll keep this model in lineup. I’m super happy. Cheap enough not to worry about and with a sweet sound and wider fingerboard space to keep the folk and blues rollin’.

good choice for home playing.
Well made. Beautiful guitar. I did not give it 5 stars only because it is not as resonant as I had hoped. Sounds a bit boxy. But it is pleasurable to play and when plugged into an amp it sounds very good. It arrived in good condition. The strings are complete crap. Replace them. I did not even get the bass E string up to tune before it snapped. A string snapped just sitting in the case. I've been playing guitar for over 40 years so I know how to tune and play. It wasn't me, it was the crappy strings.I would buy this again however.

Cordoba C4 CE
Even though it was a used instrument it appears to be in mint condition. These slimmer necks are phenomenal to play. My guitar instructor was acquainted with world class guitarist Sharon Isbin, and he taught me many things about guitars. But that was 39 years ago.But this Cordoba instrument took me by total surprise. It has great tone and volume coming from a beautiful African mahogany top.The open pore finish is really attractive too!I found the radiused fretboard to be a real god-send. Barre chords are so much easier to play. Overall the guitar is the best guitar I’ve ever played in that class of instrument. I look forward to playing each and everyday. Price tag was $197.00. So it was an excellent deal from the Amazon warehouse. I would recommend this guitar to everyone looking for an exceptional mid priced guitar.!

Just a beautiful, beautiful guitar!
The finish is like a satiny matte kind of thing. Not even sure how to describe it…. Lets the wood grain shine through. It’s darker on the edges then blends beautifully. The binding is lovely. Aside from the aesthetics it’s a joy to play. Neck has a nice feel. Intonation is perfect. Action is good. I haven’t even plugged it in yet but nice that I can. It’s extremely lightweight. Just a beautifully made and conceived instrument. Love that it has the cutaway. It kinda takes my breath away every time I even look at it.

Packaging was terrible!!
Nice guitar and a great value, but it arrived in a thin one-layer cardboard box that was damaged. I could not believe my eyes to discover the guitar itself was not damaged!! Shoddy packaging for a nice guitar.

Great guitar for strumming or fingerpicking
I really love this guitar. I have had five others, mostly second-hand rescues. This guitar far exceeds any that I have ever played. You can strum chords on this nylon string guitar without them sounding buzzy or mushy. In addition, finger-picking is loud enough to project without amplification. The action was just right for me right out of the box.Barre' chords are more easily sounded than on any other guitar I have played. The appearance is IMO very pretty. I appreciate the satin finish. The real abalone detailing around the soundhole is very attractive and the African walnut is excellent. The guitar is just the right size for me. It is exceptionally light. I doubt that I will ever find a guitar I like better.

I would not buy
I tried this guitar for about two weeks until the rough frets started eating at my knuckles durning cord changes. It sounds ok, but it doesn’t resonate well.

Very nice crossover nylon string guitar
Cordoba makes a nice guitar, this all mahagony guitar is a nice guitar for the price. Its more of a crossover with a slightly thinner fingerboard. The craftsmanship is sopt on and the electroincs are sweet. This of course will not sound like a classical guitar, but the nylon strings and mahogany top give it a sweet sound. If you want to try a crossover guitar, this is a good place to start.
