Ideal
Small and light and exactly suits my purpose, simple to use and if you use a cooler on your M.2 just move it along the drive a little so it can still be used in this device. Warning - do not place this where it can be hit or you will break your drive or device.

Very easy to use for temporary connection
This is a great way to connect an NVMe drive to your computer on a temporary basis, such as to recover files from a dead machine. It is very easy to use, the supplied USB cable has connectors for USB A and C, the drive fits in the slot. Just be aware that there is no support or heat sinks for the drive, so this is just a temporary measure. It is fast too, I was able to copy a couple of GB in a couple of seconds.Very happy with it.

The included cable lets the product down.
It’s fair to say this product works. However given the included USB cable is comically short, I’d suggest it’s impractical to use this product as is in most Desktop Computer scenarios. The included cable will reach front I/O, but even then, it doesn’t really allow the light weight dock to sturdily sit on even the top of your case.Easy fix of course, but at this price point the added cost would probably have me looking at other products.

esoteric but very useful piece of kit, reaches spec speeds. No cooling for drive, pricey
PROS-very convenient to work with caseless m.2 drives (to read them, or duplicate)-my tests show this can come very close to the USB 3.2 Gen 2 specification (both read and write)-works with both NVME and SATA m.2 drivesCONS-sometimes convective cooling isn’t enough, when the SSD is under heavy load (needs conductive cooling)-pricyNOTES-some conflicting information regarding compatibility with MaxOS OSXMY STAR RATINGS:1* substandard, mostly cons2** barely acceptable, cons outweigh the pros3*** meets the basic requirements, cons balance the pros4**** good product, pros outweigh the cons5***** exceptional, all (or almost all) pros
