✅ Quick setup, just deal and go, great for impromptu gaming✅ Interesting military rank theme, has helpful pips showing card values✅ The advanced rules add great replay value✅ Compact size, easy to bring on the go✅ High quality card stock⛔ The instruction leaflet could be clearer, the text is also hard to read (small)

Reskin of a game you can play with playing cards
There's a fairly famous card game that this takes the rules from. I won't say it here because it's a rude word. What they got right: It's quite nice artwork and a bit more engaging than just normal suitsWhat they got wrong: The instructions are a struggle to grasp if you don't already know the underlying game

Fun family game but instructions not crystal clear
This is quite a fun game which gets quite strategic if you are able to wrap your head around some of the rules as the instructions could have been slightly clearer. However, this game is quite easy for youngsters to grasp as the idea is to just keep putting cards down in turn by beating the rank in the pile. If you cannot put down a higher ranked card, you need to take the whole pile. The game circulates until you have used up your 3 cards in your hand, 3 in reserve and 3 blind cards. The final 3 blind cards require pure luck in terms of whether you can beat the rank in the pile, as you are not allowed to choose which card to play. It has brought some amusement at this stage, but takes away some of the strategic element. I guess this ensures that most can still stay in the game until the very end - a bit of an equaliser for younger players! You do need to clear all the cards in the draw pile first, so games can last half an hour or so. Additionally you have extra "direct order" cards which will change the play, such as skip a turn, play any card or reverse direction, as well as more advanced rules which can be incorporated once everyone is up to speed with the basic rules. The kids really enjoyed it, except some of the rules which were slightly vague and required us to re-read the rules. For example, we were not sure if a new pile is started whether a card is turned face up from the draw pile, or the next player in turn can put down any card they like. The instructions do not clarify on this point and having the instructions on a tiny leaflet with tiny text did not really help either.Even so, we did enjoy this game playing as a family (aged 8 to 45) and everyone was able to win a game. All in all, a pretty cool concept that players of all ages can enjoy.

Nice, simple fun game.
A fun little game, simple enough for most children from about 7/8 up I would say.Easy to learn, easy to play, a nice theme and well-made cards. No complicated rules, you'll get it on your first playthrough, but a nice amount of strategy if you want to use it.I have thousands of card games, and this one is one of the better ones... not childish or ill-thought-out, but not too complex that you couldn't pull it out at a family evening at the pub and teach it to the kids.

Really grindy
With two players, this takes ages to play, and is incredibly arduous. The six reserve cards are unnecessarily tricksy, and only serve to prolong the pain of the interminable grind. We really didn't find this game to be at all fun. Quite the opposite, in fact. The only positive things I can really say about it are that the materials are of very good quality, the printing is good, and whole thing feels premium. Unfortunately, this is not a good game, in my opinion, so I cannot recommend it.

Another take on a card game, perfect for travelling
This is a compact military themed card game, supplied in a regular pack of cards sized box, so perfect for travel etc.The object of the game is to be the first person to get rid of all the military rank themed cards (you start with 9 each). It seems to be loosely based on just a regular deck of card game, but with a military theme.Basically the higher ranks represent a higher value cards - and fortunately there is a scale on each card to show where the rank sits.So maybe looks a little more complicated than it actually is.If you like Uno type games (and similar), then you'll probably like this too. There's a list of optional more advanced rules too.Nicely made, reasonable value.Suitable for 8+ which I think is about right, and for 2-6 players.A good stocking filler.
