The gloves provided are size L and fit my hand fine (about a size 8/9 in glove size). If buying this as gift for a child with much smaller hands consider this.

Theese whittling knifes come very sharp out the box and while learning to carve I must of cut myself 6 times luckily I was wearing the cut proof gloves that are provided. I still cut myself but only minor fixed with a plaster as opposed to some stitches. The gloves will save you a trip to the hospital so wear them.It's a great hobby to get into I put the radio on and started whittling time just flew by. In the picture is a carving of a wizard i done my first attempt at whittling but I'm happy how it came out. And had fun doing it.If your looking to learn how to whittle theese are a great set.
