Everything in this cake starter kit is awesome. It all does a great job and the turn table is very good quality.

There are cheaper sets. This one was just a little more expensive, but looked to be better quality. Nice started set, will work perfect for our kitchen.

I dabbled in cake decorating when I was younger, as do some of my kids now, but my wife took a class in it. She expected to be disappointed by this collection, but was"incredibly impressed."The stand is heavy and sturdy, and the ball bearings give it a smooth, level spin.As you can see in the product page pictures, there are a lot of pieces and quite a variety of tips; everything is there in one package! Lots of options for all kinds and styles of cake decorating.There are a number of different couplers, which she likes... in fact, the only negative she could come up with, the only weak link, is the pair of scissors that you use to remove an icing flower off the "spinny nail" (is what I call it) after it's done. She doesn't even use them, and still doesn't expect them to last.The one thing I wondered is if wheels might be better on the cake leveler, to make it slide even better?
