Top quality bodycam
Great little bodycam.Bought mine with micro SD card with it.You will be surprised at how many people comment on where to get it and price is spot on.Everyone spots it and some people's attitudes change straight away becoming less agrumentative and more polite when noticing the body cam even when not on.It has a stealth mode so will not show any power or recording lights if that is what you wish, and an emergency alarm with lights and sirens so if anyone attacks you as well as recording at same time.Really highly recommend this bodycam for battery life, pic/vid quality.

Easy use
We use this walking the dog as some people can be horrible. Picture is good playback easy. Sturdy too. Comes with everything you need. I’ve noticed the sound on playback isn’t very clear. I’m not sure if it’s where I have the device so I’m still trying that out. Overall very happy

Good, but needs some redesign/improvements?
Firstly, when Bodycams advertise they have night vision, implicit these days almost without saying is that it has IR lighting surely? Auto Night Vision, means IR mode auto-switches-on when light levels drop to a low level? The S3 has none of this despite it's misleading claims of having "Auto Night Vision". It has no such thing in that the white LEDs lights have to be switched on manually in low light conditions whereupon the S3 switches from recording in colour to recording only in Black & White making for, it is claimed, clearer night vision. Indeed even the User Manual states there is no IR included with the current version of the S3. Mmmmmmm. Hardly what I'd call Auto Night (IR?) Vision and it's disappointing when a vendor abuses it customers in this way. They don't seem to understand this type of subterfuge gives we buyers the perfect reason to return the item due to the lies told about it even by inference if not actually.Secondly, it is claimed to have an IP65 water resistence rating but only because there's a rubber door protecting the USB C-type charging port. As with most such rubber doors, it has a tiny and useless rubber "hinge" which usually snaps off as soon as blink at it which will inevitably happen since this door has to be opened and closed each and every time this Bodycam needs its battery charged. Very often then. Then, when the tiny rubber hinge fails, the water resistence will be a certain zero. A strange choice for a product whose main use will be for outdoors or, at least, for part of the time? The cost of this ineffecfual piece of water-proofing of this piece of kit is the lack of a much more convenient charging dock which alleviates opening and closing the rubber charging door simply (and all too regularly) to charge this Bodycam up. It's own User Manual states it's charge lasts only "for about 8 hours so perhaps a bigger battery would be useful although a larger battery would presumably and undoubtedly compromise the S3's incredulous miniature sizing and light weight?I bought my S3 for walking my dogs mainly (recording the chronic antisocial behaviour of some people we dog walkers come across from time to time). As such it is a very good buy and, alas, seemingly getting more and more an indispensable piece of kit to have and although tempted to return it, I've decided to keep it because though it's not the 1st Bodycam I've tested - far from it- it is the best by far with the exception of the niggles I mentioned above - and since I don't need to record in the dark very often at all (although water resistence will be an issue, I fear) even in the items' details it states it is "shower proof only and not to used in heavy rain" at all, it really is a keeper in my opinion. Time will tell!I like the SOS function, the large one-touch "start video recording" function button at the front of the device with the optional red/blue flashing and the large red warning LED status bar also at the front, which can be easily switched off if needed along with all LED and/or Sounds making it effectively a truly stealth mode. I note some reviewers complain the "start-video" button doesn't stop any recordings too (as it's supposed to) but mine works just fine & dandy IF YOU REMEMBER THAT TO STOP RECORDINGS YOU HAVE TO PRESS THE VIDEO-ON BUTTON TWICE - this is designed to stop accidental or malicious stopping of any video recordings.Perhaps SPIKECAM, a Chinese Manufacturer, will add true night vision ti this S3 by adding Infra Red technology to it AND redesign the charging aspect to the much more convenient Charging Dock facility.Absolutely brilliant is it's small size and it's light weightedness so that when wearing with a magnetic mount to, say, a sweater, it doesn't pull down on the sweater making it mishapen, though I don't think this will be the case with t-shirts but there's always shoulder and/or body harnesses that can be used in hotter weather.SPIKECAM would be well advised, I feel, to introduce the now Industry Standard lock-on mechanism known as the Klick-Lock system. If SPIKECAM did all I tweaks I suggest herein, it'd have a truly leading Bodycam to be proud of. That said, even as it is, I've decided to keep it as it really is a sturdy, small and light-weight piece of kit crammed with all the most essential features that is really very easy to learn about and to operate. With all the above in mind, I'd still whole heartedly recommend this item. Yes, I only gave it 3 stars but this could so easily be a 5 star review with just a tweak here and there. Come on SPIKECAM get it sorted and be the best Bodycam money can buy!

Poor instructions and i ncomplete information in the amazon advert
I do a lot of building inspections and meet hundreds of people. I also work alone - so to self protect against spurious claims of questionable behaviour - I got a body cam. It does the job - if someone objects to video - I can record the objection - switch to sound only. When I got it - all the photos show a bare camera. So I ordered a clip to mount it. When it arrived - it came with a clip! Why didn't they day! So - returned the extra clip. Using the standard - and ordered a magnetic mounting clip to hang it any where on my clothing. Better. The instructions - you need to read them - operation is not quite intuitive. And some button are wrong - but a little trial and error sorts it out.It records in a loop and you can save favourite files - so you don't need a huge micro SD capacity. If I turn it off between buildings I can get 6 hours of work recorded before it flatlines. It records files in 10 minute blocks. But the blocks are continuous. You can select smaller blocks if you prefer. Also - my torch was not broken - but stealth mode disables it - so I have to look like sad Christmas tree when it's operating. You can take still s even while videoing. 4k is ok - wide angle so fine detail is still lost. Contract is quite high too. But overall - good enough! Small enough, durable enough and fully featured enough (too much - actually).Good price point - few options in 4k. So I am pretty happy with this one.
