Excellent Pistol Light - Best for Medium Sized Frames
This light is BRIGHT! I like it.The switch is exactly where it needs to be, and the buttons feel natural. The Picatinny screw is well-positioned and holds tight under fire. Do your part, and it should not loosen during practice.Don't listen to those who say it doesn't last long, it gets hot, blah, blah, etc...This isn't a searchlight; it's a self-defense tool that should only be switched on moments before you engage your target in the dead of night. You shouldn't be searching for anyone in the dark with this light mounted on a pistol. It really shouldn't be on for longer than a minute or so at a time in my opinion. This rig fits all of my medium and larger frame handguns: G19, Canik TP-9 Series (all), Taurus, S&W, etc. It does NOT fit the smaller ones such as the Taurus GX-2, Compact Tristar, etc. The light overlaps the breech end by about 1/2 inch. It still mounts fine, but it looks silly looking down on it from the top. I like it, and I will get another soon.

Pretty decent alternative
Definitely not 1000 lumens, but still the brightest light for the price. Quality seems to be holding up after about 200 rounds at the range.

Amazing light
These Votatu pistol lights are super bright and function perfectly. The buttons have a very positive and clean "click" and the construction and finish are also very clean. These are great pistol lights with an amazing price point. I would highly recommend these lights to anyone.

Good light but fickle switch
The Votatu G10 has a lot going for it, but it also has one irksome problem, a fickle control switch. More on that ornery switch in a minute. But first the good stuff. The Votatu G10 is a small but bright light, with an internal rechargeable battery. Weight 2.4 ozs. Claimed output: 1000 lumens in high mode (H) and 400 lumens in low mode (L). Intensely bright in H mode; almost as bright in L mode, well-focused (fixed) in both intensity modes. Has a strobe function. Charge it fully before you do anything else. Then turn it on, find the high output mode (H), and feast your eyes on one of the best, brightest, and most uniform beams you’re likely to see from a source this diminutive.Installation. Fits my G19 clone (a PSA Dagger Compact) perfectly. Installs easily. Has a sliding adjustment feature that allows moving the light up and down the rail to position it exactly where you want it. Comes with two rail keys, Glock and 1913 Picatinny, one or the other of which will fit a wide variety of applications. The Glock key is pre-installed, but if you need to switch keys, it’s as easy as removing one screw-bolt and switching the key, then reinstalling the screw-bolt. It’s that easy. Total installation time: a few minutes. Result: perfect fit.To this point we have a lightweight, very bright, well-focused (fixed) rail light that goes on easily and intuitively and switches on and off with a mere tap of either bilateral “paddle.”Unfortunately, the bilateral control switches (paddles) don’t work so smoothly when it comes to changing light intensity; that is, switching from H to L or L to H. In a word, the switches are fickle. According to the User Manual, switching output intensity is as simple as double tapping either of these paddles. I found that to be the case sometimes, but not all the time. Across six distinct sessions, the transition from L to H or from H to L sometimes required multiple double taps, often three, occasionally as many as five. The number of required taps to effect a change simply wasn’t predictable. Sometimes one double tap would get the job done, but on the very next trial as many as five double taps might be required. Or perhaps two, or four. The number of required taps seemed to be a random process. This would drive me batty except that, as mentioned previously, there is little difference in light intensity between H and L output modes. There’s enough to detect if you’re looking for it, but even L mode generates a substantial beam, probably good enough for indoor tactical use. Outdoors, of course, you generally want all the power you can muster.Rating this little rascal on a five star scale is difficult. If the switch worked as advertised, I would give it five stars without hesitation. With the fickle switch I would award three stars if there were a substantial difference between H and L modes, but there isn’t, at least not currently. So I'm giving it four stars. But I’m keeping an eye on that switch.

Excellent light...why spend hundreds?
If you simply have to have the brand name lights like everybody else in the neighborhood, go right ahead. If you want a BRIGHT light that fits like a glove (now on my Ruger Security-9) with good, positive switches aligned perfectly with the trigger guard for less than $50, this is for you.

Better than expected.
I bought an expensive light previously and it blinks it has different lasers colors. But, if what i bought this for was home defense you will not have time for all that. I need a light so i could see the intruder not give myself an epileptic seizure. The light is a bit long i have a sub compact and it protrudes past the barrel by about an inch. For a full pistol it should be about the right length. Personnel choice.
