Great size for my sewing class

Recent back surgery means I have no desire to wrestle with a heavy ironing board. Fortunately, I have had plenty of seamstressing, and my local quilting shop inspired me to try the quilters "go-to" and get a pressing felt, wool or mat. YES! The mat gives me a nice large work area and includes a safe pad to set the iron as well. I just bought it and have used it only one day, but if it fails too soon I will return to say so. IN THE MEANTIME - YESS. YESS - Thank you to Amazon and the folks who provide this item for our purchase.

Doesn’t lay flat.

I loved that it included a pad for the iron. It folds or rolls up easily and is light weight. I take to quilting sewing bees to use on a conference table.

Pro:It is the size it says.It does protect the underlying surface from heat damage.Cons:The “non-slip dots” on the bottom did absolutely nothing for keeping this in place. It was a huge pain trying to use it without it sliding everywhere.The mat has excess fabric on the top causing it to bunch up and not give a very good surface for getting rid of wrinkles.The Velcro straps are useless.
