Great base cleaner.
Pec 12 is very useful at certain applications. In my view its performance as an emulsion cleaner is limited to use on current 35mm colour film and even then you risk damaging the negative. On older film where the chemical composition of the emulsion may have shifted caution is highly recommended. I would be very wary of using it on any slide film emulsion and certainly never use it on Kodachrome emulsion. If in doubt only apply on the smooth base side of the film. Its better to have a print with with some flaws or a scan you can alter in photoshop than a destroyed negative.I have used it on the base side of 1960s film to remove marks left by condensation on glass mounted slides and it performed very well.Using a Giottos GTAA1900 Rocket Air Blower - Black then a Matin M-6328 Small Size Goat Hair Dust Brush to remove any loose debris is important. Then spray some of the pec 12 on Photographic Solutions 10x10cm Pec Pad (Pack of 100) as the final part of the cleaning routine.Use sparingly or it will leave a residue. It is very strong so don't plan to clean a large amount in one go and keep the area well ventilated.

I thought I reviewed this last time I purchased one ...
I thought I reviewed this last time I purchased one, it arrived within dates stated, and it cleans photo and film, but needs care on old photos as they are not fixed the same, not cheap but works as claimed

Effective cleaning solution
This is fantastic for all Kodak slides. Very happy customers in that department. Also very useful for cleaning sticker residue that may get left behind on stuff. Probably also good for cleaning other things but I'll have to experiment and let you all know what they are!

Exellant
Great product to use on lenses, negs- or anything sensative. Highly recommendable. Its a bit pricy but has lasted me three years know on and off and still is working like new.

Disappointing, but.........
Unfortunately this cleaner was not able to improve any of my fathers damaged slide photos, which is a great disappointment as I hoped there would be at least some sign of improvement after applying this cleaner with PEC pads. The slides were in surprisingly poor condition, Im guessing the damage is due to moisture getting to the slide, which is maybe why this solution had no effect?

Photo negatives cleaner
Easy to use, straightforward instructions on the bottle. I had an old 2 1/2 inch negative to clean. I used a lint-free cloth, tested a small area in a corner first, and then gently wiped the rest. It worked very well.

Railman
A very good product, if a little pricey. Does the job that it is intended for, and keeps quite well.

Photo PEC 12 Photographic Emulsion Cleaner
Never used film cleaner before and was a bit shaken by the price. It cleaned the negatives and colour slides reasonably well but wasn't as effective as I had hoped and dust spots and embedded hairs had to be cloned out on Photoshop. Could be me not using it properly but I have followed the instructions.
